I've said before i'll say it again, the way they play may well be successful for them, but it's ****ing boring, it's certainly nothing that get's you out your seat and it shows with their fanbase.

They play like they do because they have to, as we seen last season, but why we're at a stage where people want to play like them (badly) for no rhyme or reason is beyond me.

Some aspects of their play are incredibly dull to watch.

But there's points when they're attacking that brilliant to watch, Foden gliding with the ball past defenders is great to watch.

The issue is modern football is removing how common that aspect of football is. I do wonder how long this dominate possession football will continue for.

I believe (some) man city fans stay away cuz not all of them agree with the way club has rough shot the rules , plus they ain't really a big club the success they have had has been artificially manufactured ..

The your 90 minutes meeting next week has some atmosphere type topics. Emails on this have been sent out today from

the club.

I couldn't get past the "in-bowl experience" line in the email from the club without pi55ing myself.  Please!!!! Most of us here have, I would imagine, been around football for most of our lives and it has probably never crossed our mind to use that term!!!  It would help if football people were involved!

That said, it will be worth a look to air views

That is a ridiculous term, who the hell do they employ? :D Surely they are football fans in some capacity who are aware how that comes across.

For the most part I like to think I'm fair and reasonable and try not to be negative for being negative sake.

But the wording just reminds me of meetings at work with senior management who don't really understand you or your job and use lots of corporate management speak.  Even with the best will in the world you feel immediately that you will be on different wavelengths.  I'd love to be proven wrong though and our thoughts are actually taken on board

For members of a certain vintage - the club initially tried to name the stadium 'The Walkers Bowl'.

There was absolute outcry at the attempt to name the stadium something so ghastly.

I doubt they'll be so open to criticism this time round.

Cooper mentioned the fans a bunch at the FCC the other night and knew where the majority of the noise comes from in the ground.

I'm still not overly excited about him as a manager but hopefully that's a good sign that there will be a decent connection with the fans and the manager/players.

Enzo did as well.

Yeah. The football might have been dull but the relationship with the match going fans got better imo, beside a couple of blips. The SK1/G1 corner celebrations during the run in were fantastic.

The concern is whether the club will try to limit his influence though, in terms of any potential changes to the matchday set-up.

Cooper will value the fans a lot more than Enzo did. Granted he had his moments last season but he was pretty clear on the fact he didn't give a sh*t whether we liked his football or not.

Enzo very clearly valued the fans who actually supported the team and weren't clearing out at 80 minutes??

Interested to know how many people have received an email from the club today? The original email states we'll contact you on Tuesday 30 July to let you know we have everything we need ahead of your visit.

I got one last week, responded to say I wanted to attend.  As above, they said I would be contacted today but nothing heard back yet.

Same as @rugbyblue
