Like it-can’t we get the last bit in as well , like the Boney M song - but not the “she looks like …. “ words though!
Plus maybe slow the first Ruud and gradually speed up, doing the same each repeat?

I love WYS so much, it'll grow and grow.

Absolutely shameful that a good number of members of the old guard supporter groups basically said it has no connection with the club when it was being debated a couple of years back. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Worse still some genuinely suggesting Frank Sinatra's version should be played.

I think that some of those old guard supporter groups are not what they claim to be. I'm of the 70's Kop generation and we always sang WYS, albeit differently without PA accompany.

The only thing missing from how we do it now, for me at least, is the third The. Whole. World. Smiles. With. Youuuuu. Still sing it in my head after the second (but trained myself not to do the jazz hands!).

I appreciate it's been through different guises over the years. But to sit there and say "I don't really know what the obsession with it is" whilst representing other fans is wild

The atmosphere yesterday didn’t feel like anything particularly special, there were some great moments others where it was silent.
what made it best for me was feeling some proper hope in the ground for the first time in a few years, I’m sat next to a guy who is probably around 80 years old and hadn’t heard a peep out of him all season and even he was joining in with some of the chants yesterday. Hopefully the sign of things to come

Great effort from UFS but there are just so many people in the stadium that refuse to back the team, no matter what.

If you can’t enjoy nights like last night, then I despair.

I do wonder what it would take for them to get out of autopilot.

Life has been sucked out of our fans will be a while for it to be brought back again but yesterday seemed like it could be the start

Unfortunately it's not just down to the poor performances on the pitch. The club hierarchy has succeeded in sucking the life out of a large percentage of our supporters.

We need to sing the song Sona Serg made up for Ruud!

Also, how have we never had a chant for “Club Foot”? The “oooooooose, na na na na, I tell you I want you, ooooooose, na na na na na na, I tell you I need you” would be perfect for a song.

So many Kasabian songs that could be converted into football chants—missed opportunities everywhere!

I've been telling James Justin to shoot the runner all season but he's still not listening to me

It’s just a shame that the van nistelrooy chant which is taking off was his chant by United fans, but if it works then oh well 🤷‍♂️

I think it works. It’s simple and effective, can sound really good. Doesn’t need changing to something longer.

His name lends itself perfectly to this.

But haven’t been able to think of a decent closing line for it.

I really like this. Even if it’s just the “oh Bilal oh Bilal oh Bilal, Bilal El Khannous” bit on repeat it could work.

I don't think it matters, nobody has an IPR to a football chant - need songs that get sung en masse.... and that are catchy.

The way Crystal Palace go on about it, you'd think they've registered a trademark against "We Love You"

I'll slaughter the club probably too much at times but they got this one absolutely right. It's gotten better and better to a point that they actually made a bit of a thing of it TV before it started.

If it works then go with it. We try and re-invent the wheel too much. Keep it basic and people will join in.

Same with the Buonanotte one. It was getting traction because it's a familiar tune and no-one needs to request a songsheet.

Works well.

Song is an anthem and most know the chorus.

Go with it.
