Enzo's head went in Jan after he didn't get the players in. He could only play one way with no plan b. He should have played Coady more as his record was better with him in it.

I dont think any of that is untrue but it wasn't exactly glowing in reference.

Yeah it's hard to disagree with any of that but just shows what he's like as a person.

Lot of deflection from the players too. I feel like in years to come this current lot will all tell us how it was the hierarchy's fault. Of course they take a massive part of the blame but I've never seen players down tools like this season.

Coady was slagging Enzo off to anyone that would listen whilst he was doing comms at the euros. Bloke is an absolute gobshite.

Coady never played under Enzo. No wonder he slagged him off.

Have I missed something? We sold him to Wrexham last Summer.

Yes we did.

But if he had an automatic extension like Winks did then we will still be paying part of Coadys wages up to June 30th 2027, not 2026.

Coady wasn’t the only player with a similar view to that either.

Just so I can keep up (logging on here a lot less lately) but people are now genuinely calling out Enzo because of the dosser and pub player Coady?

Yes, we had a huge slump under Enzo and I was vocal about it BUT name another manager in recent history who does what he does when first comes in.

Morale on the floor and he won what 16 out of the first 17?

No one here is calling out Enzo. Rather that Coady and a few of the players were not massive fans of Enzo and they were happy to say that privately.

People with footballing IQ (as much as I dislike the phrase,) particularly foreigners, will see through blusterers like Coady straight away. Intangible 'leadership' bullshit means nothing if you're a poor footballer. Coady is terrible in the air, positionally weak and his supposed passing ability was never seen either. Really not surprising he didn't play much.

The club had just been disastrously relegated. Morale was in the toilet. Had lost a lot of players. Terrible preseason, disrupted by stupid trip to South East Asia.

14 wins out of opening 15 games.

W19 D1 L3 in the first half of the season.

Also think the 'near collapse' is a bit overstated on this forum:

W12 D3 L8 in the second half.

It's a weird stick that people use to beat him with anyway - 'we nearly didn't win the title you know' ...OK, but we did, so...?

58pts in first half of season.

The next 20 games saw 33pts.

We got over the line but it was most definitely a collapse from matchday 24-43.

I liked Enzo a lot and he definitely did the job asked of him, but you've proven your own point by jotting down those facts. To go from winning ~82% of games to ~52% is a significant fall and absolutely does represent a 'near collapse'.

You're spot on to point out what a disgrace that pre season was and I pointed out what a great job Enzo did of getting players to buy not only into his philosophy but him as a person/coach.

That doesn't excuse that he didn't have a plan B and that was what single handedly cost us in that second half of the season. I don't compare it to what comes after because we have never had a squad as good as he had that season and the managers have all been extremely poor. Just having worse come after you doesn't make you better.

That squad should have passed 100 points quite easily and broken the record. I understand some want to say oh but look how shit we were when he left. But again, there hasn't been anything like the respect for the coaches that followed and that's one thing I do rate Enzo for doing.

This is true for any seasons in League One - but I don't think it's the get out of jail free card people are describing - if we get promoted back to the Championship, we'll be under PSR again and any losses vs book value that occurred will still 'count'. This rabble haven't been able to follow one set of financial rules. I have little confidence in their ability to managed two!

I hadn’t realised this. At least if it gets voted through it will remove the need to worry about simultaneously trying to abide by two sets of financial rules…

Thought I heard Jake's voice coming from my other half's phone whilst she was on TikTok the other day.

Not sure she's a secret BSLB listener so I asked her to scoll back.

Turns out he was flogging perfume on there.

I'm fascinated to see how this plays out given barely any club makes a profit and up until now are allowed to make £39m losses over a rolling 3 year period less any allowed deductibles.

Could force youth to be used more considering they dont count until 50 or so appearances as far as I remember.

How does SCR work for us in comparison to PSR?

PSR is about 'allowable' losses. SCR is about your 'player costs' can only be an allowable percentage of revenue.

See below for my outline of League One rules, specifically

So this pretty much shuts down the idea of Seagrave being sold due to it costing too much?

I don't think it was ever a serious suggestion anyway.

Was thinking about this the other day - he won 13 of his first 14 games. We didn't win 13 games in 2025/26 lol

Still raises the issue of cash flow which we have continued to borrow based on future TV revenue.
