Really don't know if he's the right player but we need a CB like yesterday. Probably the position that is most important to fill right now. We simply have to become harder to beat. Ideally I'd like two CBs this window but probably unlikely.

If he was in the team today I doubt he'd have allowed their last goal to be scored, instead of Faes running in no man's land like a headless chicken. Can't blame him for origin though.

On the door?

Get on the floor

Would be very surprised if he wasn't featuring in a crap unveiling video filmed in the depths of the KP by Tuesday.

A centre back who can do centre back things will be a refreshing change.

Would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous about the possibility of signing Jannick MkII

Just been on the Oatcake Fanzine Stoke City forum, one of their posters was stating that Souttar was sitting near him today and shaking hands with everybody around him; fellow fans were wishing him good byes and good luck.

Their fans apparently have heard from

a credible source that he is coming to us for £18m, plus Iversen and one of

our young players

Iversen on-loan, I very much hope.

They've negotiated well if that's true

If it actually is £18m plus a very promising GK and another player, we've been absolutely rinsed.

If...

We won’t be rinsed if we get this lad. Really really good and lots of potential

not necessarily. If it was braybrooke on loan for example, we would be getting the benefit of him playing senior football, it’s win win for both sides.

This is literally what I was thinking. Getting Braybrooke meaningful minutes at Championship level would be great.

18m plus Iversen as well seems a bit much though. Would’ve thought 12/15 would’ve done it with Iversen as a makeweight.

just got to accept that the club probably only value iversen at about 3m. It’s wrong but if they won’t play him they won’t see that he’s worth more

suspect its more like £15mil going to 18 with add ons, with hopefully Iversen on loan for the rest of the season + one other

sensible all round if true imo,as long as we aint got rid of Iversen completely, as he deserves a shot here

If Iverson is going, I hope we are actually replacing him and not expecting Smithies to become the No. 2.

Obviously the ideal would be a new No. 1, but I can’t see it over a new RW & CB.
