StonyFox Posted 21 January 2023 Posted 21 January 2023 I'd be happy if he comes in, but after watching today, I'd be worried with Faes and Souttar together. Ability wise, I think they'll compliment each other. But the lack of experience we'd have would give me concern, especially without a solid goalkeeper or solid defensive midfielder. A centre back with more premier League experience would be my choice, whoever that may be. I really hope I'm worrying about nothing!

Stick Kristianson on the left and Ricky P on the right (wishful thinking) or JJ and we've got a good back 4 that can grow

Knowing Brendan it would probably be Souttar and Amartey, so no point in worrying about that… 1 7
Big Dave Posted 21 January 2023 Posted 21 January 2023 I can see us signing him, and Brendan playing him with Big Dan at the back. Seems to love him so much. 2

FrankieADZ Posted 21 January 2023 Posted 21 January 2023 (edited) tbf Faes and Souttar would fill me with more confidence than Faes and Big Dan, as Amartey while good in a back 3 seems imo poor/iffy in a 2 Edited 21 January 2023 by FrankieADZ 1

Also brings a box presence for corners
Popular Post Gazza M Posted 22 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 22 January 2023 If he does have a slight knock I'm sure we can develop it in to something more serious in no time at all! 10
VictorFox Posted 22 January 2023 Posted 22 January 2023 Iversen won’t be part of the deal. Stoke want a centre back in return

If Souttar reads the game better than amartey we might have stood a chance.

Ely fox Posted 22 January 2023 Posted 22 January 2023 Stoke City would be about Dan’s and Vestergard Level. They are not Premier League standard players.
lgfualol Posted 22 January 2023 Posted 22 January 2023 Iversen? Ffs we're going to be stuck with Ward all season then. Dont know anything about this player but hope he's fine and Rodgers waits a day or two before saying he's shit or something.
markko Posted 22 January 2023 Posted 22 January 2023 Did you watch the game yesterday? Ward had no chance with either goal. In the second half he made two too very good saves. He earned us a point. He is not the personality/leader KS was but he is not nearly as bad as people make out. 2 1

He's off the scale as the worst performing Premier League keeper this season, I know stats can sometimes be favourable or unkind to some but it's very damning. 1 1
