There are effectively four factions within the fanbase now:

1. Top is a good owner, and should stick with Rodgers

2. Top is a good owner, but needs to sack Rodgers

3. Top is a bad owner, because he won’t sack Rodgers

4. Rodgers has been let down by a lack of investment

I think the interaction between factions 1 and 3 is the most heated, but the tension between 2 and 3 is also there…

I'm in faction 4, which means I don't really care if Rodgers stays or goes because without investment I think we're gonna struggle whoever is in charge.

As for the fans that go to the matches, they can do what they want. They pay their money, if they want to stand there with their hands in their pockets then that's fine, if they want to protest against the board/manager/players that's also fine. Turning on each other and calling Rodgers a poison dwarf doesn't really seem to achieve much though

Was brilliant in the kop after the Fulham game, 2 blokes squaring up to each other with one shouting ‘who we gonna have then? Warnock???’ Probs do a better job to be fair. Either way, Rodgers will be the one to take us down if we stick with him.

"Who we gonna have then? Warnock?" is the football equivalent to online Hitler comparing.

I think we'll see the tide start to turn now. Even some of the KPFC fans on the Facebook groups are showing signs of dissent.

Yeah I think you’re seeing a realisation amongst a lot of supporters. Perhaps because of that run and after the World Cup there was a sense of we’ll turn it around with a lot of fans. But that sense of hope after yesterday should really be replaced by realistic realism of where we are. If any fan doesn’t look at our run of games coming up and think how the hell is he going to change this around maybe a change would be for the best.

But I feel that a lot are now going against him maybe we’ll start seeing this in the stands. And if we don’t make our feelings clear then the board will continue this bizarre charade.

These people are complete losers.  As I have said on an other thread, imagine watching this with your own eyes, and falling for his narrative. It’s ludicrous, these people are a lost cause - I cannot be bothered to even debate with them.

I read somewhere that there was uproar when a section of our support unveiled banners. I cannot fathom that people are happy with the situation at the moment. This fraud is being paid more in a day than what a lot of these supporters earn in two years, and they’re happy to fork out money and watch this garbage.

Good on whoever made the banners, and fair play to the people that stayed until the end and let the team that this a disgrace. They need to know that this is nowhere near good enough.

Could it be the case that these fans will follow us everywhere regardless of league status so it doesn't bother them?

Yep spot on. Pensioners club.

Doesn’t bother them? Imagine being this apathetic.

The sport is about winning, not being happy to just exist.

Sorry, but this is tosh.

I’ll follow Leicester wherever they are. I loved our league one season. I used to have a season ticket when Josh Low was rampaging down our right wing - I think that’s true for the vast majority of us on this forum.

However, this situation bothers the **** out of me. If you told me after the Fa Cup that within two years we could realistically be playing championship football, I would’ve called you a nutter. What the manager, board, owner and current players have allowed to happen should infuriate anyone who classes themselves as a fan - otherwise what the hell are we doing.

Good post, I completely agree with what you’ve said. Just because you’ll remain loyal to the club, it doesn’t mean that you are happy with the situation.

I support Brendan. I know I am in the minority, but I think he is ok. I blame the club for not investing for two years. You need investment and turnover to stop becoming stale and going backwards. If we invest this month, I think a Brendan will keep us up. Then a reappraisal in the summer. I anticipate being unpopular

Our fan base isn't actually split. Everyone knows it's shite and needs to improve. You might have a different view of what the best thing to improve that but everyone recognises this is shite. Something needs to change to get us all pointing in the right direction but quite honestly personally I don't see changing the manager as solving all that. We're a mess top to bottom, it's hard to get the balance right as the boys need our support but I still don't quite think anyone's grasped the gravity of the situation. The damage was really done in the summer and that sets alarm bells off for me in how our club is run.

I think tbh they all worship top and think he has all the answers when in reality I think he understands it far less than the average poster on here.

If it’s not just Rodgers what else do you think needs to change ?
Top ? Rudkin ?

The complacent smug narrative that were a well run Club that can outsmart everyone else. We don't operate in a static environment. However you do that I don't know but I guess when the owner surrounds themselves with yes men / women that's a ****ing great place to start.

Should ask them if they want to go back there because that’s where could be heading if we aren’t careful,, because of all the debt we would be in

...we bought in Daka and Soumare!!!

They may not be performing at the level that you would wish,  but we have spent money to help the team.

A manager who constantly puts his team down and is unable to motivate his available charges and still continue to put out the narrative that he has not been backed. He keeps this at the forefront of his interviews, it seems to work as no one calls him out on it, and the supporters who attend matches are now in fear of losing him to someone else.

I think there a lot of that, home and away. Our support has become a habit.

In the old days, if we were shite, the crowds dropped down to as low as 7k. Nobody likes to watch a losing team - it hurts. In the 80s,  we'd have 28k for the big games, when punters wanted a piece of it v Liverpool, Man U and Forest. Then 8k a week later v QPR or Norwich.   I kinda.miss that cold clear voting with their feet.

Guy was complaining about the banners yet had no idea what they said as he was 3 rows above. Chants of ‘sack the board’ and he was saying what’s the board done what are they supposed to do it’s Rodgers fault etc etc. point is clubs rotten from top to bottom. Starts with the board who make all the key decisions including whether or not Brendan whose clearly done his time here stays.

Yeah there’s a significant minority that don’t really care who we play as long as they get their day out
