We might stand some chance of making a game of if they could maybe stop giving the ball away so much. Dire tbh. As for Tete, on evidence so far he won't be signing he's completely ineffective and doesn't look to be motivated. Top priority is a new keeper.

Never easy against 12 men, but let's be real - we offered very little going forwards there.

We move on. Better run of fixtures coming up.

Not sure booing at FT having lost 0-1 to the best team in the country is going to help lift moods.

Some of our fans really need to google what “perspective” means.

They have perspective though? For them, the team shouldn’t be playing dogwater football with the talent we have, and yet we are playing dogwater football, so they boo the incompetence and general negativity of the play.

That’s perspective surely?

The worst thing is that in Brendan’s mind, that was the second best outcome. The first being a 0-0 draw.

He sets us up to pretty much bend over for the big boys and hope they either don’t score or they keep our goal difference down.

nah, perspective would be putting up a fight and getting that result. playing to lose shouldn't be applauded

Against a ‘dog water’ side yeah. But against arsenal who are far better in EVERY single department and with our best player unavailable i would say 0-1 is about the best result we could have hoped for.

This is where we are right now. We can be brilliant in one off games. But we’re not a good side. We need investment and possibly a new manager. I just don’t think booing when we’ve lost 0-1 to Arsenal is good for anyone.

Thats got to be one of the most pathetic 2nd half performances ive ever seen in my life. ONE shot in the entire game. What the **** were the Daka and Soumare subs about? Absolutley zero plan or logic to it besides just throw a player on and hope it works, it was game over as soon as the board went up. Really really dissapointed at that, id rather we lost like Villa did last week and had a go then a pathetic spineless performance like that where they are scared to get into Arsenals half. If we had gone toe to toe with them and were aggressive then we could easily have got something from that. They arent prime Man City, they are a beatable Arsenal team that gone done by Everton two weeks ago. Grow a pair Rodgers you pussy

No effort, guile, passion, shots on target, corners, points, happy fans etc. Losing is bad enough but combined with the factor of continuously giving the ball away (again!!!!) and my tooth ache makes this a soul destroying hobby.

Exactly. And people who have paid money to watch that have every right to be pissed off with it. I don't really agree with booing, but I have every sympathy for those that did boo at the end.

Another game where our huge ineptitude to create chances without Maddison is exposed. Ward is comically shit and really, games like this one make me think that our absolute priority has to be a goalkeeper in the summer.

Poor team selection.

You can’t not play Tielemans if Maddison isn’t playing. Too little technical quality on the pitch without both of them, you can’t get up the pitch if especially against a team with Arsenal’s quality on the ball, and compactness as soon as they lose it. They’re such a good team that we defended well but we had absolutely nothing to trouble them. We had nothing to knit it together with any surety so no threat.

Never once got hold of the ball to play our way into the game. 90 completed passes in 45 minutes is dreadful for a PL side no matter who it’s against.

And Yet another goal conceded by giving the ball away badly. There’s a right way to give the ball away and like last week’s first goal there’s completely the wrong way and we do it too much. Goes to an Arsenal player with time to play forward straight the way and we’ve got trouble with a CB being dragged into the channel.

Think the performance wason a par with my stream. Hopefully we are going for it in the FA Cup and kicking on from here. Problem seemed to be was a game plan to stop them scoring. Worked for 45 mins but no plan B

It not about the result, its the attitude towards the game, passive.

I mean, we didn’t play to lose. We just didn’t play well and they defended really well. Because they’re much better than us.

Southampton have just lost 1-0 Leeds. Forest just lost 4-0 to a team who have only scored more than 2 goals in a game once all season before today.

We lost 0-1 to the champions elect. That’s perspective.

Wow 1 shot for the whole game that is unbelieveable, yes we had no Maddison but for the love of God, surely we still had enough on the pitch to create more. Too not muster a shot on target at home is absolutely criminal, fecking disgrace and an insult to the fans who parted with their hard earned cash.

But we were in league one, we are over achieving, who else would we get ….blah blah blah bollocks. Puel would have been hung, drawn and quartered for stats like that.

PS what level of shitness did Danny Ward managed to achieve today, asking for a friend 😂
