Carrick looks the real deal. Kompany too. Think we could get either.

Dont think we would get Kompany now, but Carrick highly likely if we wanted him.

Cause he’s building something special just like he did here. Their fans love him.

No chance he gets them up. They havent even improved since hes been there. They are championship mid table at best.

That's a somewhat unfair way of putting it. He came in and didn't manage to keep us up, which is subtly but importantly very different...

Agree. It was the definition of an impossible job. Bassett actually laid the foundation for an immediate return the following season, recruiting Dickov and Deane and bringing some hard edge back to the training ground .....and then had a decent window as DoF the following summer, using his contacts book and with zero money to spend, persuaded Les Ferdinand, Marcus Bent, Ben Thatcher, Keith Gillespie and others to join

Go on then! Name me a club he has succeeded at or a list of achievments he has at any of the clubs he has been at since he left Leicester.

My sure thing was at you discounting his work at Watford...

Micheal Carrick

Just to name 1% of the managers in the top leagues that would come to Leicester.

Let's sack Rodgers and find out but I doubt any of those managers come to Leicester in March

The top half have no experience of English football and are risk appointments for a relegation dogfight.

Look at Leeds, they try for Carlos Corberan, Andoni Iraola, Arne Slot, and end up with Javi Garcia with 4 points from 15 possible.

Anyone wanting Pearson is doolally. Tactically appalling. And he's had his day. It would be insanity. I genuinely would rather have a

Rodgers

Carrick seems odd. I don't follow the lower leagues but the guy looked clueless at Man U with Ole.

I'd have Jesse Marsch in a flash. There's something ONeil about the guy. I think he just fits a club like us.

The only managers that will come now are the type of manager that you wouldn’t even contemplate in the summer.

Barring a great candidate becoming available you either go with a new man until the end of the season (and no more!) or you give Knudsen/Sadler/Stowell a chance.

If we go with someone like Nuno, Benitez, Hassenhutl, Dean Smith, Gerarrd etc they either take us down and get sacked, or they end up being in charge of the biggest summer in recent history. We can’t afford to go into the summer with someone in charge that feels temporary or whom everyone isn’t fully behind.

I suspect we’ll go for Frank, get rejected and then go for some dross just because they have Premier League experience.

You’ve turned your nose up at a young manager who’s flying in the division below us, because of his time as an assistant at Manchester United, but you’d have Jesse Marsch here?

We've left it too late that the only option left is a Nigel Worthington type appointment for the remaining games to see us over the line and then get a proper manager in the summer.

Marsch has PL experience, a point to prove and gives off the right vibe. He'd be a breath of fresh air.

Carrick has the charisma and aura of pavement and has failed at PL coaching  - we need a bit more than that.

We need the opposite of Rogers, short term fire fighter premiership experience out of work, like it or not step forward Sam Allardyce or Roy Hodgson till the end of the season both would have the team defending better, an I back us to score 1-2 goals most matches which would then get us enough points.

I know nothing of his tactics and nothing of his player development skills yet since Burnley are first in the Championship he seems impressive enough. If we could get him in quickly, Kompany's leadership, and the respect the players would give him, would perfect to mount another escape.  Whether, after our Jan spendings, we have enough to sack Brendan I don't know. In the short term I think Kompany would be a safe bet and he seems to be on a good trajectory.

Sad to say but I have more faith in Sam and Roy currently. I wouldn't be against a short term gig.

Realistically we could get anyone we wanted on Rodgers wages. Struggle to think we wouldn’t be able to hold Kompanys interest although he does seem to be a man of principles so probably would try and see Burnley’s season out

I say we hire another manager for 2 months without sacking him, make him quit belittle him, undermine him like he has the club.

Imo we need someone like Ten Haag. Hard nut (seems to be).  Liked how he went on a run with the players after getting beat by Brentford.   He took responsibility. All for one and one for all.

I think there's only one thing that would annoy me more than seeing Brendan doing his silly little clapping or doodling in his notepad - and that thing would be Jesse Marsch mincing about in his grey jeans.

Well they weren't cut adrift when he took over them. He wasnt improving their chances of staying up, that's why they sacked him.  I'm not sure what was so good about his work at Watford to be honest. Anyway whatever, there isn't any way he will be coming back here in a working capacity.
