They'd go for someone like Benitez or Nuno.

Our board have little imagination.

What managerial appointment have they ever made that has bought you to that conclusion lol

We need someone to come in & kick these players up the arse & get them trying for 90 minutes.

We then need a complete rebuild in the summer. I’m not sure we can get the same manager to do both of those things

We've now gotta do what Everton have done and appoint somebody who will be happy to manage us in the Championship. This club has been grossly mismanaged from top to bottom

Why do we? We aren't even in the actual bottom 3 yet. A new man at the helm will get us out of this.

I doubt they would appoint anyone who hasn't managed in the Premier League and apparently love a big reputation manager in charge.

I couldn't see them going for De Zerbi, for instance.

Marcelino - available on a free and has done some absolutely brilliant work in Spain with multiple clubs

When you hear about how he likes to play as well...

"While the change from the 4-2-3-1 under Garitano to Marcelino’s trademark 4-4-2 was not going to be massive on paper, Athletic had to become more proactive in and out of possession. The Asturian’s teams press high up the pitch more often and like to transition from defence to attack quickly instead of holding possession."

Complete antithesis of Rodgers ball

It’s a no-brainer for me but I don’t think the board have ever heard of him

If the thought process is give him till the end of the season and then mutually part ways with some settlement package, I do believe we are wasting 10 weeks a new manager could use to assess what we need. It has to be easier to change the manager than sign a whole new squad hence why the manager usually goes when a team is under performing.

They've never dipped into the 'merry-go round' managers though.

....Leicester City players wearing gloves that is obviously not the entire population

I don't think wards gloves are the problem. I think it's the world class ability to avoid the ball.

Surely Ranieri was a "merry go round" nobody really was that excited surely when he first got appointed?

He'd only managed one premier league club about 11 years before. Pretty big stretch to include him in the premier league merry go round

If Rodgers eventually gets the sack it wouldn't surprise me if we enquire about Carrick.

He would be completely mental to come here at the minute.
