Potter looks like he may have redeemed things somewhat at Chelsea but could still see them keeping an eye on him. I wouldn't be against Michael Carrick even if it is somewhat a gamble.

Kompany and Carrick both decent shouts, but doubt they come. Slot - dream on, that ship has sailed. Anyone we'd want who is in work will probably have to leave a successful winning club to come and work with a bunch of demotivated and demoralised serial bottlers. It's not an attractive proposition.

In terms of a short term fix until the end of the season and maybe beyond, I really wouldn't be averse to Hassenhuttl. Did a good job at Leipzig, and his successors at Southampton have proved it's not easy to do much of anything with that club.

Diego Martinez and Julien Stephan are having average seasons with their current clubs but have hugely overachieved with their previous teams. They're probably on £30k a week max.

Martinez has said he wants to work in England, he was immense at Granada.

Stephan got sacked at Strasbourg in January. They were bottom with only 1 win. Martinez is doing ok at Espanyol.

...they are only like this because of the way they have been asked to play!!!

This club is a high energy,  high tempo team, we do not use them in that way, we are playing against the players better instincts.

Pearson - local to the area, passionate, will motivate the players, close association with the club.

Honestly would like to hear why Rodgers is better than Pearson at the point in time?

Probably just give it to the first one who applies, we'll have no succession plan for Rodgers!

I genuinely believe Dyche would have kept us up, I can’t believe so many were against it even for a 6/7 month stint.

Even Dyche couldn't organise our bunch of soft *****

And he wouldn't have come here for 6 months.

Offer him the £ he would have come IMO.

Everton fans were saying thge same about their players, they've gone above us with that result.

Who are we gonna get now to come here for 2 months rather than 6?
