  1. 1. Will we immediately bounce back to the Premier League if we are relegated?

It will be absolutely horrific, unlike Burnley who could pretty much reset with so many players out of contract etc, there’s no way teams are going to come in for a good number of our overpaid, out of form squad so we’ll be carrying very high wages for players who aren’t fit for championship football before we start to put together a squad that can challenge. Will therefore have to cash in on anyone decent to get some revenue in. See Sunderland / Wigan / Stoke for what is very likely to happen to us if we go down.

even with players leaving in the summer and parachut payments our wage bill will cripple us in the championship next season and won't be much of a much needed squad refresh

I would genuinely be more concerned about our financial stability than promotion

As it stands we have one of the highest paid managers in the league, around the 7th highest wage bill in the Prem and we just posted record losses of nearly 100 mil

Who in our squad realistically has a high enough value to recoup some serious money if we do go down, Tielemans, Soyuncu, Amartey, Mendy, Evans, Bertrand, Maddison, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Thomas, Praet, Vestergaard and Vardy all have contracts that expire by the end of 2024, yes it helps witht he wages significantly, but without absolutely gutting our squad we don't really have much to sell for a high enough value to cover the huge hit to our finances. We have also already signed away future prem tv money with the Macquarie bank loans so we will be in a bit of shit when it comes to that.

No var.

Fake plastic fans gone - I can get a ticket.

Proper away games

Atmosphere could become better .

My lad will love it, I grew up with walshy etc in the old division 1.

Bring it on you shambles of a club

**** you Brendan and the board also.

Edit . I want king Nigel back.

Agree. Would rather see us doing well in Championship than struggling in Premier which is bound to happen with the likes of Maddison and Tielemans leaving.

Presumably not a great deal of money for new signings and no desire to get rid of Rodgers irrespective of how poorly he performs so it'd be 46 games of us trying to play Barca style tiki taka with Magic Marc on the wing, Lewis Brunt as our inverted left back and George Hirst up front. Can't wait.

Tielemans, Mendy, Soyuncu. Amartey, Evans and Bertrand are out of contract this summer. We’ll have no problem selling Madders and even Praet (the latter at a cut price.) I’d probably expect Castagne and Barnes to go too. Iheanacho will have teams interested in him as will Ricardo tho I wouldn’t be surprised if both stayed. The only players you’ve listed who may stay stuck on a bloated wage will be the unsellable ones ie Vardy(ready to retire), Vesty (because he refuses to leave due to a high wage) and Ndidi (form dropped to league 1 standard.) You could perhaps add Daka to that as he’s not looked worth his Premier League wage. Souttar, Faes and VK have a relegation wage clause at least,

Surprised that you mention the unsellable ones without mentioning Danny Ward (also ready to retire).

Hard to say - at the end of last season I wouldn't have thought Burnley would have run away with the title.

The gap is much bigger than it used to be, teams bounce back way more the past 5 or 6 years tbf. Many said Burnley would be down there for years but they've run away with it. Sheffield Utd were statistically got one of the lowest points total in PL history and looks like it's only taking them 2 seasons to get back too.

Depends which players we keep. I think the likes of Dewsbury-Hall, Daka and Faes could be decent players at Championship level tbh, even if they haven't been great at PL level.

I have to pretend Danny Ward as a LCFC player doesn’t exist for my own health.😂 Actually he’s on a comparatively low wage compared to Vardy, Ndidi and Vesty.
