I think this is it really. The remit is too much for him. like you I don't think he's going anywhere fast. We need a full root and branch restructure of the club. Unfortunately we have Top who is a bit like one those absent landlords who don't appear to really know what is going on.

If the club wanted someone to make those decisions as the top, then they’d employ someone to make those decisions with experience of doing so. As it is, we employ a team of people below him with more experience and knowledge to suggest x or y player. 
 

Of course he’s still responsible for shit direction, but once again people saying he picked x or y player or shouldn’t have picked x or y player are just wrong. I don’t see people saying well done for any good players we sign… funny that .

 

The DOF is in charge of the recruitment strategy of the club. If he doesn’t know about scout then he should admit it and Hire. someone. Who . Can. Help

why would he walk? he's never going to get another job in football, he's only got this one because he's the family friend of a nepo baby, and while there's no professional standards demanded of him by said nepo baby, he can just put his feet up and rake in the big bucks. If the plebs start complaining, then go fetch the stale donuts and cans of chang, they'll shut each other up soon enough

I think he probably doesn’t but, the pressure and vitriol is only going to increase if we continue to decline and he might think he doesn’t need the job any longer.

The club need to be honest. If they have no money, tell us, build a strategy to work with that. What annoys me is they pretend to be rich whilst not giving the squad the investment it needs. There are people that can build successful clubs with less money. We used to do that.

It’s such a shame as he loves going even though there’s little chance of them winning.. he wasn’t really sure what was happening at the Fulham game in the section with the rudkin out chants but since then it’s like he’s been a fan for 20 years
