He needs to bring on Praet and KDH for Daka and Tete and take control of the midfield. The game looked gone but hat penalty has given us a lifeline - we must take advantage.

I agree with this, Praet would be a good addition now Tete doing ok,ish not great from him

If their coach is half the fella I think he is then they’ll tweak a bit more and we will struggle even more than we are

it took him ten mins to fiddle about at the beginning and change the momentum

with fifteen mins at half time ….

Daka off and KDH on please.

Either KDH or for me Praet. We need some width and at least Praet can play a bit out wide. Wish we have Perez and Albrighton for this game.

Soyuncu has been solid

Nacho has been good.

Soumare has been decent

Youri does not have the legs anymore but if we take him off we lose that creative pass

It's either Mendy or KDH for Daka. I'd rather us stay 4231 so let's bring on KDH for Daka and KDH can go left wing.

He should be able to help the midfield more aswell

You can see how totally bereft of confidence this team is. Good in patches, awful in others. Lopetgui has transformed Wolves, they were awful the last time we played them, but the look like a really solid outfit these days.

Games like this come down to heart and fight. We don't have to play well, we just have to win. I will say that Smith appears to have gotten some of the players back on it, we are putting a lot more challenges in and getting the ball upfield much faster. It's not always working, but it's better than sideways passing for the sake of it.

Painful to play a game like this with neither Maddison or Barnes. We don't have many quality players left these days. Iheanacho is having a good game though.

soumare been quite good actually, not defensively but at breaking the rpess

He can put a foot in but can't seem to follow it up with a pass. An improved display though of late

One mistake cost us a goal as always, but generally think we've been playing quite well, Tielemans has been hot and cold, making good tackles and passes only to lose it over and over again, Soumare has been very solid in the midfield.

I wouldn't say he's been solid. The midfield has been overrun, and he's been more effective than most, but he (like everyone else) has failed to effectively disrupt and close them down. Fair play to the defenders, though it's all been very last ditch because we're losing, or not even competing in, too many battles further up the pitch. Daka has been especially awful so far. Youri and, for the most part, Kelechi, are also failing to exert control on the game. Tete is negligible up to now. Vardy, to me, has been fairly dangerous with little to go on.

I dont think Ndidi has made a tackle in his last 2 games 😂

Certainly don’t want him to be conceding penalties or fouls in dangerous areas. Soumare has been ok this game. We do need to take one of Daka or Vardy off though and get either KDH or Praet on the field.

It’s games like these if we can win them without our two most attacking players will boost the confidence for the whole team

they have to dig deep now and no more flippin mistakes!!!!!!’

Good post. That’s how I saw it.

The midfield was over-run for most of the first half. But only having two there, that was going to happen.

It’s a risky strategy but Smith is clearly going for goals.

Ndidi was on of the best players on the pitch against Villa. He was phenomenal until he made one poor pass. Unfortunately that poor pass lost us the game.

But to question his defensive contribution is just dumb.

i’m really hoping we look back on that nacho penalty as we do at the ulloa one.

Calmest man in the ground. Hard to believe this is the same guy that was so hated all those years ago.

At least we are going for it. I rather we concede a goal because we are trying to play forward than to play passing around at the back and then concede. But we do need one more midfielder in there - Praet for Daka.

Wolves have been utter garbage btw so we're never going to have a better opportunity to give ourselves a lifeline. This second half is one of the biggest in our history.

Let's get into them, and indeed, f**k them up! :scarf:
