he was getting there just before he got sacked lol

No he wasn't, we were 12th, 8 points from the bottom 3.

I told you we should have gone for Tony Adams.

In central defence yeah.

3 games to go, what's the point. He wont get the job at the end of the season regardless. The players have to take some blame as well, 2 managers they've not performed for now. Can't even beat shiiit like Leeds or Everton and battered by Fulham with key players missing.

Bunch of shithouses.

An interesting read on what happened at Norwich. From

a fans perspective.

For anyone that wanted “Deano”long term in either division.

“It’s a group of players bereft of belief, void of confidence, and without direction. That the coaching team has failed in its most primary of tasks is no longer up for debate.

But also, for this group to be so fragile that it shrinks rather than grows when faced with opponents who are down to ten, says an awful lot about its own lack of cojones.

Technically blessed some of them may be but, as we well know, it takes more than ‘tekkers’ to win games of Championship football.

Some of that steel comes from within, which is why recruitment is crucial – ie. signing the right type of character – but part of it comes down to how the players are prepared, fired up, and motivated. The Classes of 2018-19 and 2020-21 would have, as the saying goes, ran through brick walls for Daniel Farke.

I don’t see this lot running through wet paper bags for anyone anytime soon.”

There was a lot of talk about how Smith with Terry alongside him at Villa made the difference, but was it more Grealish making the difference? Terry left his role at Villa on 26 July 2021, Grealish left for Man City a week later..

Players are gutless and useless, but Smith an Co. have to take a lot of responsibility today too.

We are most likely relegated now, and that means he failed his job, and so shouldn't be rewarded with taking us into next season.

I also think a complete reset would be much better for us, with as many players departing as possible and a completely new Management, including finally clearing out all those coaches/staff that seem to stay on no matter what - Stowell and Co... I am looking at you!

We need to begin a new chapter.

Hand a start to Youri and Soumare next match and he should be sacked for sabotage. Youri's passes will be careless and sloppy. Soumare will let men run off him untracked and look like he doesn't give a s**t. We know it, he surely knows it but come next week "here's a shirt, go out there and do it all again lads". I'd go 3 CB's incl Evans for his brain, Mendy at DM, KDH CM, Maddison AM. And football not basketball.

tactically hes clueless. I did expect a little better from him in that regard.  But that said, our grave was dug well before he arrived.

...after Everton, he had to make this team compact, he has not seen it, we need to tighten up our midfield and defence and look to get a goal in the 90 minutes!!!

I do not want to see this non-existent midfield being churned out for the rest of the season.

I just dont understand why he doesnt want to play Dewsbury Hall and Mendy. Far better than the likes of Tielemans who hasnt cared since the FA cup winner.

Because they're both shit anyway.

It's pot luck who to pick. Minds well just pick 4 fans from the stands to play.

But whats worrying is that he seems to favour Wilf over mendy.

You'd get a truck load more desire and effort.

Today was the chance for him to get himself in pole position for next season. Unfortunately for him he has just ended any hopes of getting the job full time. I don’t blame him for the mess, goes way deeper than an interim manager. Let’s hope we find our Vincent Kompany.

The Soumare/Tielemans midfield experiment has been a disaster. I am not impressed, but will not blame him for the mess and complete lack of belief and fitness.

We've got 30 points. We need more than desire. And even if they did have desire and effort we'd have more than 30 points.

Theyre not world beaters but both are better than Tielemans on current form.

I wouldnt want to start tom cairney or harrison reed but they mauled our midfield due to actually having some legs to them, something that Tielemans simply doesnt have.

What I said the issue was is that we needed someone who could motivate the players. That alone was more important that setting a team out and for tactics.

he can’t organize OR motivate them. It’s a bit of a problem isn’t it…

...yes, that is quite strange!!!

Mendy is not getting a look in, Midfield balance is all wrong, and Thomas and Kristiansen swapping places as Smith has no idea which one to choose.

I think dean is a decent manager, we attack great, our buildup sometimes can be top 8. But I think he needs to get rid of john terry, we've somehow looked worse defensively since he came in

Cool your jets bud, this isn't on him. State of the players is the first port of call here.

Could’ve said that about Villa under Gerard if a shit manager took over after

In fairness to smith on that last point... neither do I.  VK certainly hasnt stepped up to his early promise.

Im not a castagne fan but id probably put him on the left and ricardo on the right
