Championship Starting XI - First Game Of The Season

Recommended Posts

From what I think we may actually have left from our current squad by the time that game comes:

Iversen - will be number 1 next season

Justin - will stay due to fitness/injury issues

Souttar - will stay

Vestergaard - can't get rid

Kristiansen - will stay

Ricardo - see Justin

Choudhury - Watford wont buy

Dewsbury-Hall - will stay

Albrighton - back from West Brom

Daka - deadline day loan out, but here at start of season

Vardy - will stay

Ward, Smithies, Thomas - cant get rid of Ward, Smithies and Thomas will stay

Honestly no clue what it will actually be because we would see 10-15 players out, and then the same in as well

Will end up loaning in about 6 or 7 players .. can't see us making many permanent signings until we come back up in a few years due to finances and not wanting to commit.

Be a Couple seasons in the championship

Threading balls through for a front three of Cameron Stewart, Jimmy Kebe and Craig Mackail-Smith

He's been having that medical for nearly a decade now!

Think there is a massive variance around where we could finish next season. The likes of Justin and Ricardo might struggle to get moves but would be some of the best players in the Champ.

Similarly people like Vardy and Daka could do well and might not be snatched up but other Prem clubs.

Midfield needs a rebuild mind.

We need a scouting team that thinks outside of the box and is great at finding talent.

We can’t predict next seasons team as we’ll need a fire sale, people will go/leave out of contract. And anyone who thinks Mendy will sign a new contract is in coco land

Would anyone buy Ndidi? Year left, someone might take a punt?

Turkey on loan then leave on a free when his contract ends

I think Daka will end up there as well - Galatasaray were interested in him in January

He was the first choice DM in a team that finished 5th in the Prem two seasons in a row and he’s like 27, he definitely isn’t going to struggle to find a new team.

Daka would probably be pretty handy in the Championship

Didn't think about that...... maybe it will give him the opportunity to get the experience he needs in the future if we get promoted

The more I’m seeing of Kristiansen and Tete the more I’m concerned about Glover‘s ability to find talent. Souttar doesnt appear to be deemed good enough and that’s with a kamakaze Faes on the pitch too! The 3 Jan signings can largely be considered flops!

West Ham on a season loan for squad depth maybe?

Exactly. I still think there's a player somewhere in there. A season regaining his confidence in the Champ might do him the world of good.

Also, I really think we need to avoid loaning players out and get some transfer fees in.

Sell out

Loan in

But in our situation and with the wage bill beggars can't be choosers
