Oh come on, of course we need to help the team, but equally they have to show fight. For the first part of the match they did, and the crowd responded. Then we conceded the first goal, and everyone knew what was coming. Fans in the stadium can only do so much to boost players. They have to lift themselves too.

BUT less than 2 years ago Ndidi was COMFORTABLY a better player than Rice.

Ricardo was one of the top 4/5 RWB’s in the world and now look at it?!

 

Tielemans was wanted by all, literally ALL. Now look. 

We never replaced Mahrez.

We didn’t plan for life after peak Vardy.

 

We sold a great one on one shot stopper and didn’t replace him. Given our high line we should’ve invested here.

Just so, so many players I'll be over the moon to simply never have the misfortune of watching ever again. 18 of 19 games we've conceded first and it's got to the point where when that first goes in you just accept it.

 

I don't think Mendy is particularly good but he's been better than borderline every other central midfielder at the club this season (admittedly that's like choosing your favourite flavour of dogshit) and at the very least looks like he gives half a toss when he plays. Soumare has bricks for feet, Youri moves like he's stuck behind a funeral procession and Wilf's drop off has been absolutely incredible. Faes and Castagne can piss off n all.

 

Only way Rudkin goes if is Top does too given the former has set up base camp in his arse so we're stuck with being run like a one star gastropub for the foreseeable. Grim.

One thing that scares me is that Jesse Marsch was willing to come to us and stay with us should we go to the championship. 
 

Talks broke down because he wasn’t convinced by the plan in place for life in the championship. Just what is the plan I wonder or is there even one?

I actually think we did, we just choose to give him piecemeal minutes and even then they usually involve sticking him out wide. Whether or not you think Daka is any good or not is a different conversation but I thought that transfer actually showed some sense of succession planning.

Players of this caliber ( you forgot Kanté too) are hard to come by, especially for clubs like us. At their peak they're unattainable. You have to unearth them, which we were doing quite well and relied upon.
