Some appear to forget the reason for his leaving.

Non footballing reason. Not that I think it's the right direction to go in anyway

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me exactly why there are comments on his tactical nous, how football has moved on. If you say it then at least explain your bullshit.

It makes so little sense, especially when he is managing in the division we are now in.  He obviously knows the Championship as well as any other manager around.  He knows how to get out of it too. Over 100 points he got a few years ago.

As for why would he come? History, the fact we are a much bigger club than Bristol City and ambition.

Why would he leave Bristol?

We could probably triple his wages. He'd also get to visit Seagrave golf course, sorry, training ground.

No, not at all. No way.

Why?

I would always welcome this man. But part of me doesn't want us to taint him with this job. He's got a good thing at Bristol at the moment and they seem to be giving him time and space.

I haven’t posted since the game yet but have had plenty of time to chat about this on my drive home. As long as he has Shakey - who knows what’s going on currently - I think he’s the only man for the job.

Pearson has done a rebuild with us in the past on similar scale when we went down to League One, and he also cleared out all the crap acquired by Sven. And got us promoted. I don’t think there’s anyone more qualified.

Debatable.

We’re currently 6/1 to win it

Bristol City 40/1

Very much doubt he’d turn us down and from our perspective it would be nice to have a manager who actually wants to be here rather than constantly listing all th reasons why we are lucky to have them as our manager (cough cough Brendan*)

6/1 is laughably lazy from the bookies. I'd want at least 33/1. We've only got a handful of players that we know for sure are going to be here next season.
