Switching to now listening to the championship games on LCFC.com with my earbuds (in bed for the midweek games). No coverage other than PL over here.

After the world cup here my two young boys got really interested in football and LCFC (after showing no interest previously). So in March this year i bought them the each a kit. One wanted Barnes on the back, the other Maddison and they sat down and watched all the games with me (with kit on). With LCFC (very likely to) not being in the PL I will have to make an effort to keep them interested in LCFC and not move on to another PL team. My Dad was a LCFC supporter, I have been all my life despite growing up in Australia, and now my kids are just getting started. So for me that is the saddest  part of LCFC getting relegated.

Anyone know of a subscription streaming service that covers the championship?

Iptv has championship games. DM me

With this likely 11?

Iversen

Justin Souttar Faes Kristensen

Ricardo Ndidi KDH Barnes

Vardy Iheanacho

Promotion surely.

How is this anything like a likely 11?

Can only see Iverson, Kristiansen, Souttar and KDH as being ‘likely’ to stay of that. Not to say the other 7 will all go as there will be surprises but a lot of them will.

Looking forward to exiting the Championship. In the right direction of course

70% of teams that got relegated to the Championship over the last 10 years didn't get promoted back first time.

Why would city sell the others? be counterproductive. The idea is to get promotion, not stay there.

I just want to see people play for the shirt to be honest. I’m sick of willy pullers living off former glory.

Why would you expect people to play for the shirt when theres tens of thousands of pounds on offer?

For example, decades ago, Steve Lynex (winger) went into a crunching tackle to try and get a goal when the game was already won, but he was on probably £50 a week, so playing for the shirt was part of the course. If you're on £50,000 a week, the idea is to remain fit so you can live a luxury lifestyle in a healthy way and earn millions.

Besides that, only KDH and Thomas, a little bit Barnes, have any genuine affiliation to Leicester the place.

Perhaps if only Lestonians could play for Leicester, and on £500 a week, will you ever get people playing for the shirt?

I doubt we will even have any players! Terry might have to stay on a register.

I admire your optimism I really do. But it’s not just a case of what the club might want in a perfect world. Wages, players agents, debt and reduced income will all be a factor.

We will need to sell players we ideally might not want to. And others will force moves away.

And yes I know you’ll probably say tough, make them stay. I agree with that in principle. But the player power in football now, running down contracts etc, we will be better taking the money for some.

Hmm fair points, and I’ve raised this before about psychology and motivation at our level of football. I think what I meant by ‘playing for the shirt’ was basically just try, and not waddle around and actually challenge for the ball. I don’t think it’s much to ask personally, but I understand your point, and it’s not helped by having so many players with one foot out the door because of the calamitous contracts situation.

With the sales of maddison,  praet and vestergaard, plus their wages, tielamans, soy others ending contracts, there won't be any need to sell any of the above.

If don't get promoted, the parachute payments kick in and you sell more then.

Apparently the parachute payments are owed to the bank so we are in a bigger mess than you are suggesting.

Anyway, those players won’t hack it in the championship. I’d sooner get rid of Justin, Barnes, Ndidi etc and bring younger hungry players in on lower wages.

I agree except for Vestergaard - surely no one will buy him?!

I'm hoping to start enjoying football again, and leaving the KP happy because we've won a game.  That's only happened 4 times this season I think!  I'm not expecting us to be brilliant in the Championship, but I reckon we'll win a lot more than 4 home games.  This season has just been miserable all the way through.
