So with all their Troubles, not having a stadium of their own, playing seasons in birmingham, not knowing from year to year where they are going to play, a tight budget....they have a great chance of passing us as we probably drop to the championship....it actaully makes me feel sick! How we have become such a joke. I work and now live in warwick and the stick im getting from these chaps is unreal they are loving whats happing to us.

Yep.  Cov, who I had forgotten all about (and none the worse for that) take our place, we keep Forest up and we make Dyche a hero.  Its humiliation.

Just got to take it on the chin. I'm more annoyed that we could have had a couple of local derbies in the league next year, which would have been good fun.

 

Having said that, come on Luton!

we went from league 1 to premier league champions in just over a decade.  Coventry have worked wonders but everytime i watched them they've been poor its a reflection on the poor quality of the lower leagues that they could be a premier league side next season.

 

I think Luton will win that in itself would be some achievement, who were in league 2 with coventry in the 2017/2018 season.

 

So either luton or cov will have gone from league 2 to premier league in 6 years.

Just roll with it. We reached heights they can only dream of. It's football and we'll probably cross paths again soon.

 

Might even have the smirks wiped off their faces come 27th anyway.

Fortunately not too many Cov fans where I live but I am in Warwickshire, I hate them, more so than Forest, all those last day survival seasons, the last minute winners or levellers, and the place itself!

 

However, I watched last night's game and couldn't help but applaud Robins, he had them organised, they were fighting for everything and they were superb off the ball. 

 

Robins then did something that neither Rodgers or Smith have done, he put another striker on with 10 minutes to go and 1 nil up, away from home in their biggest game of the season so far. Brave, but instead of just inviting Boro on, it gave them another problem rather than just replacing like for like.  Proper manager.

Bit harsh to criticise Smith for this - we've never been 1-0 up since he arrived...!

If Coventry do win promotion, then they have earned their place in the Premier League and have every right to be there. If we do go down, we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

Unfair really. Championship isn't as strong as it once was but Coventry (and Luton) have both come from League Two to Championship play offs within 5 or 6 seasons. It is a superb achievement.

 

If Cov come up then the job that Robins has done will be among the best I've ever seen. He's had to deal with so much there. He is never spoken about in the media, really under appreciated job.

 

Both Coventry and Luton have really shown the "but he's got no budget" arguments up, given both are among the lowest wage budgets in the league.

Hate Cov but tbf admire what they’ve done over the past few years under Robins. For all the crap they’ve put up with with their ground and owners, to get from League Two to one game away from the PL is really impressive.

We've had over 10 years when neither of these fckers crossed my mind, so far out if reach they were. In fact, I even pitied Cov at times and wished them well. 

 

As others have said, we have to suck it up. Focus should be (tho I don't think it'll work out like this) and building a super fit, aggressive 15 players with a good new manager and walk the championship and returning to the PL and put these fckers in their place.

People say this every year. Sheffield United were supposed to do that and they finished 9th.

 

No one will ever beat Derby’s record. 1 win in 38 is utterly absurd. Teams usually get 2 or 3 lucky underserved wins over a season if nothing else.

We're going to take 4 points from our next two games and save ourselves whilst relegating Forest and Luton will win the final.

Fave true story of that season, direct from a Derby fan who was there, was West Ham being booed off at half time as they were only winning 1-0

They've had a really rough time and battled unbelievable odds to get this far. All it does is make our abject failure more stark. We had it all in our hands and threw it away due to shear incompetence and laziness.

 

If they get up, well done to them.
