Well if that doesn't motivate them then nothing will! 🤣

Worth more than £4m extra to the club. Pretty sure senior management will make it clear they want the team to stay motivated, even if that doesn't end up filtering down to the players.

As much as the crowd can lift they can also cause problems.

Not saying Everton won't win, but you do see teams crumble in these situations.

Works both ways though. Imagine if Everton aren't winning, but neither are we. Then our fans will get anxious, and that anxiety will be transmitted to our players.

Something weird just happened.

I felt nervous (or any emotion other than apathy) when thinking about one of our games for the 1st time since Roma away.

If the 'on the beach' theory held any weight we wouldn't have been tonked by Fulham. Bournemouth will be up for it.

Though problem is, by that logic so will West Ham. Eek. :sweating:

West Ham will have their eyes on the European final, wouldn’t be surprised if they field a reserve team plus a couple of youth players.

They won't. The final is in 10 days time after Sundays game. They will probably play a full strength team to keep their fitness levels up.

However, that doesn't mean that those players that play won't have one eye on that final. The majority will be preserveing themselves for the final and treating this as a training match.

If we want it more, we will win the game.

Having a 14 day rest wouldn't drop their fitness levels.

I'm thinking the same. They'll be looking at it as an opportunity to rest a few not least if any of their players are nursing injuries or niggles. A elongated rest is probably just what some are in need of at the end of a long hard season, then go in fresh for their big one, which isn't playing us on Sunday.

It’s actually better if West Ham play their first team. They’ll have one eye on the final for sure so you may see a lesser performance.

If they play the reserves they’ll be giving it all to perhaps get in the team for the final.

I dare @Mark to put a Bournemouth logo somewhere temporarily for just this week, in case, for good luck etc...;)

lol I actually renamed the website to BladesTalk before we played Stoke back in 2007/08 (they were playing Southampton) as had no faith in our team, similar to this one we have now and got slammed for that, didn't work either

If you do something like a cherry logo, I'll donate a good sum towards the forum (but obviously there's no pressure to, especially if you get potential abuse for it..lol). ;)

Moyes wouldn't do that, esp as Everton need us to not get a result but I don't think there players will be gong full pelt, either way it will be a tough game we just need to come out attacking with Vardy, Barnes, Kel, Madders and Youri on the pitch
