We've received the grand total of £0 for Cags and Tielemans. Great work by the club :appl:

Rodgers committed four crimes.

- Preventing the club from financing itself by finding relatives unknowns and selling them as big names

- Ignoring the academy

- Ignoring the scouting

- Ignoring the physios

And those crimes fit perfectly and inversely with our previous fantastic footballing strategy.

The only thing worse is that I've seen nothing to indicate we're reversing this trend, or even realise we made substantial errors.

Early days though I guess!

He agreed this move this time last year. Word that it was due to Rodgers not thinking he was worth a bigger wage but who knows.

Can't say I really care too much given how much he deteriorated (prior to this season).

Bargain galore at Leicester.....wonder why Top and Rudkin didn't sort this out last summer......oh yes one was travelling the world on a jolly whilst the others mouth was zipped up Infront of Brendan

I dont post much on the forum but have to say, this does piss me off. fair play to him but very poor by the club to let so many players end up in the position where they go for nothing.

Absolutely incredible Atletico wanted to sign him last summer, this must have come late on when fofana was going, but the club myst not have known Rodgers was going to freeze him out, what an absolute mess

Lately, it appears as though the leadership of our club displays the business acumen of a bucket of pigshit.

He didn’t deteriorate though.

So he maintained the level from his first full season in the side, throughout his time here?

Amazing what not playing can do for a player.

Yes he had a dip in form. But I’d argue to deteriorate, is suggesting he regressed permanently. I don’t think there’s any point in discussing the semantics of those words. We will differ most likely.

Whilst I think he was inconsistent and could still be rash at times you only have to watch the 4-5 games under smith to see that amartey and Faes are absolutely miles away from his quality - soy had authority and can play - his passing, reading of the game and general defending made the other two look like clowns and how a manager like BR could not or would not acknowledge it is beyond apprehension - pride should not get in the way of leading properly and he clearly decided to commit professional suicide - he’s a complete idiot and this alone with Soy was one example amongst lots where he showed he was an arrogant, one dimensional so and so!!

All you can hope is they learn and if anybody remains they mainly never do the same again.

mistakes will be made but don’t repeat many!!

Oh don't get me wrong, he is far superior to them and I'd have had him starting in a heartbeat, but the player he was for us he is no longer, and hasn't been for a long time.

I'm not particularly sad to see him finally leave.

The prerequisite of learning from your mistakes is admitting a mistake has been made. I hope we see that soon.

So Athletico wanted him last year but Leicester wanted to keep him.

So Rodgers just said let's let him rot basically? Or did they think keeping a player on his kind of wages as back up, only to let him run down any transfer value is a good idea?

Please someone explain this club to me. My god

....and this my friend is why we are where we now are - back to square one in the Championship with a bump, or a whimper even..........

Shocking not good enough for City but good enough for a top european giant he would have saved us if played last season  ! Negligence and incompetence of the highest level from Rodgers, and Top is just as culpable for letting this happen and getting out of control such a badly run club but dont worry according to Top we are learning by our mistakes and will be back stronger🤪
