The player is out of contract in 9 games. Its up to him if he plays or not.

Surely even more reason for him not to want to get injured then with no security

Players usually want to play for their country, and its ads credibility when putting themselves in the shop window.

Faes was at no fault for the goal and made a decent block just before. If i recall, Castagne was pretty lame for the equaliser.

What i did like though was Faes doing his 'flappy arms' thing when the equaliser went in. He's worked hard at that and nails it every time.

Hated watching the game yesterday. 2 goals from Youri and a game that contained Castagne, Madders and Faes really set off my 'how the fek did we get relegated' OCD.

Pound for pound biggest failure in PL history

Vestergaard and VK were solid for Denmark. Denmark did look very vulnerable, when getting countered, but that was not on Vestergaard particularly, but more the system and a defense not in sync.

A lot of people used to claim he was being left out of squads because he played for Leicester hopefully this will ease their paranoia in future.

Form has been nowhere near the last couple of years for us. You can't objectively say it was fair when you look who was picked ahead of him for the squads back then.

Injury and a dip in form means it's probably fair enough but it totally depends who else makes the cut. Will no doubt be somebody less deserving. More versatile than given credit for as well

Maddison out of England squad…

Nothing to worry about for him. Play like he has been and he’ll be absolutely fine. He’s created numerous chances and will get picked comfortably another day….
