Yeah but you'll also hear Pulis talking about how he actually man managed him and worked round Evans anxieties.

To be clear for anyone who hasn't read what CHF is referring to, Pulis speaks very highly of Evans. If he didn't have these issues he'd have probably spent his whole career at a Champions League club, he's class when he's on it, we all know that. United fans always loved him.

Rodgers again just no fvcking clue how to deal with people that are in any way complex or need any sort of reassurance.

Too busy admiring himself in the mirror.

Here his mistake, if the keeper hasn't called for that then it is an absolute shocker from Souttar

I don't think he has got a call just by the reaction. If the keeper calls there and that happens, you'd go mad at him. Not put your hands on your head. I think he's just assumed the keeper will come. I guess they'll clear it up at some point.

100%

A full fit, motivated Evans marshaling our defence we stay up without a doubt.

My comment wasn't a slight against his ability more a frustration that we couldn't get him on the pitch much since 20/21.

As you say another blot in the book for Rodgers.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro has announced his starting lineup for the national team's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sao Tome and Príncipe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Omonia Nicosia glovesman Francis Uzoho has returned to the starting lineup after sitting out the matchday five fixture against Serra Leone due to accumulated bookings.

Semi Ajayi is partnered in the centre of defence by Fulham's Calvin Bassey, meaning Jordan Torunarigha starts on the bench.

Boavista left-back Bruno Onyemaechi finally gets to make his international debut after he was an unused substitute in three previous matches, while Nottingham Forest's Ola Aina gets the nod at right-back over Tyronne Ebuehi.

In the absence of Alex Iwobi, who hasn't been called up due to injury, Wilfred Ndidi is joined in midfield by Club Brugge young star Raphael Onyedika.

Kelechi Iheanacho, Ademola Lookman and in-form Nottingham Forest player Taiwo Awoniyi will operate further up the pitch, while Victor Osimhen is preferred over Bayer Leverkusen new star Victor Boniface to lead the attack.

Nigeria's starting lineup: Uzoho; Aina, Ajayi, Bassey, Onyemaechi; Ndidi, Onyedika, Iheanacho, Lookman; Awoniyi, Osimhen.

Given the keeper isn't going ballistic at him, I wonder if the forward shouted for it to trick them both

His assist was a ten yard pass which almost went behind lookman

I guess he did well to get forward to make the pass

You'd think that but Ndidi got to start ahead of Casadei based on a finish he won't replicate in another 500 games

Or because Casadei had been training with us for all of 3 days before the game he was first available for, or because Ndidis ability at breaking up play is something Enzo wants that high up the pitch to force high turnovers... No, must just be the goal, because Enzo has never dropped a player the game after scoring (Who's Marçal?)

Assume Kel was on the left/right of the 3 they had up front?

You'd think the lack of scoring must be starting to bother him? Especially against a team of Amateurs when the rest of the striker helped themselves?

Nacho Awoniyi Lookman

            Osimhen

Awoniyi was just wandering around so Nacho would come inside to play a kind of right wing / 10 role

'It was a sad moment' - Super Eagles stand-in captain Ndidi makes World Cup vow

Nigeria's Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign is now done and dusted, and the next target is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The Super Eagles lost out on a place in the 2022 World Cup to the Black Stars of Ghana on the away goal rule after a scoreless first leg tie in Kumasi and 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

In the second leg, a shot from Arsenal's Ghana captain Thomas Partey squirmed under the body of Francis Uzoho and went into the net but William Troost-Ekong equalised midway through the first half when he converted a penalty.

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could not help the Super Eagles in their quest to qualify for the tournament in Qatar because he was recovering from a knee injury.

Ndidi, who was stand-in captain in Sunday's 6-0 rout of Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, has made a vow before the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, stating that the Super Eagles will not repeat the same mistake that cost them a place in the 2022 World Cup finals.

Speaking to reporters at the post-match press conference, the Super Eagles number 4 said: "Of course everybody knows when we didn't qualify for the World Cup, it was a sad moment for not just the players but the whole country.

"It was a mistake that we always feel that might not happen again. We know the feeling of not representing, sitting at home watching the World Cup was really sad so we know what we have to do now to actually give it all for the next one."

Ndidi was a key member of Nigeria's squad to the 2018 World Cup, going the distance in all three matches played by the three-time African champions.

The Super Eagles have qualified for six of the last eight World Cups: 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014, 2018.
