41 goals and 8 assists in 2 seasons in a mid table team is mid tier performer? lol

Young as well. Would be a fantastic signing, but I struggle to believe that he won't end up at a prem club

Not to mention the fact that all three recognised strikers at the club only managed 12 goals combined in the league last season.

Probably something to do with the fact that the ball spent most of the time being passed sideways and backwards near our 18Yrd box and hardly reaching the strikers,

don’t worry, the winger we have that scored more than all three combined is not rated by some on here either!

Would have been nice if the winger had given the strikers a bit more assistance!

Whats the obsession with Piroe. Mid tier performer in a shit Champo team

I agree. Who needs a young, relativity affordable, up and coming striker who will get you 20 goals a season at this level when we can just go sign Messi or Mbappe!

A winger doing a better job than three strikers and you’re unhappy with that? lol

Yes, I do think a winger that some on here are rating at £60m plus, should be assisting more than one a season. His goal scoring record last season was great, but  he fell short in many other areas when we needed him.

I think he's referring to Barnes' lack of assists last season (just 1 in the league). There were times when I saw Vardy become frustrated with Barnes making slow or wrong decisions, or simply not executing straightforward passes.

And further to this point - Vardy, Daka and Nacho had a combined 13 assists last season to Barnes' 1 assist. It was like Barnes was doing the strikers' job, and the strikers were doing Barnes' job. Just shows you how arse-about-face we were last season.

Everyone who

played for us fell short in many areas last season that’s why we were relegated, Barnes and Maddison weren’t at there best but we probably the best two for us that’s why we are getting good money for them

We weren’t playing 4-4-2, chaps. He WAS doing his job. And that was to run onto cut-through a mostly. He was doing a far better job of it than the main strikers!

he played wide of a front 3.   Hopefully you both see the different type of role he played compared to say the role Steve Guppy would  play for us?  I mean, If he’s such a bad winger, Newcastle wouldn’t be after him.A champions league club.  So not sure we can point the finger in his direction for a failed season in any way shape or form. Granted, if he scored 13 and assisted 13 he’d be on his way to Real Madrid, but I’d take the goals over the assists any day of the week.

I certainly can point the finger. We got relegated and he contributed to that! Granted he was by no means one of our worst players, but if he had performed consistently to the level he is capable of, I don’t think we would have gone down.

I’ve never said he’s a bad winger. He’s just not in the £60m bracket that some people think he is. He’ll probably go for around £40m which is about right in my opinion.

of course you can. But it’s completely misguided.

Look at you coming on here with your facts / actual stats that count. It won't catch on.

Here's a stat for you, he averaged a goal/assist every 180 minutes last season, whilst playing in the championship.

Fans that get on iheanacho/daka's back for their end product but want Piroe to replace him are in for a rude awakening, he's really not that good of a striker.

Any of our strikers getting into 20+ goal contributions for us next season, like Piroe has done in each of the past 2 seasons with a midtable Swansea, would be great for us?

He is a good striker and would be a great signing for us
