Exactly. If he doesn't start against Cov, then we can question the manager. Ridiculous to criticise Marti today given the context - he brought him on at HT and is obviously reintegrating him.

if he's got his head out his arse and is committed to the team for the season then he is one of our best midfielders and should play but the slightest hint of thinking about his next move (ie pulling out of tackles constantly) then you drop him from the entire match squad again

Played several passes that split the lines yesterday when he came on and I never worry about him losing possession in the middle of the park when receiving in tight spaces. We don't have another player like him and he has to start, he is so much better than Skipp and Soumare it's almost laughable.

Made everything tick and constantly wanted the ball, and actually did something with it. 

 

He'll come up against worse midfields today and be rewarded with wins and MOTM awards.

like most of the team he was fine until the final third of the pitch that failed through ball to Abdul summed it up, needed more of an angle as Abdul had burned Dasilva but hit it too straight and Dasilva cut it out.

Outstanding! Everything he did today was at pace. 

He looked to break lines constantly and was always providing an option to those around him. 

 

His link up play with James and Soumare was superb.
