Feeling really positive this morning.

Our start to the season proves we don't need to be Premier League standard yet. Looking at yesterdays results you could argue the teams promoted out of the Championship aren't Premier League standard yet either, despite their recruitment over the summer.

I hope we can continue winning and build up into a capable Premier League standard team throughout the season. Therefore, I personally, don't want to see too many loans as they rarely stay/or become our players. If we can get away with just a couple of loans and a further permanent signing or two I think we are on for a good season. And if we can become a Premier League standard team along the way it sets us up for the following season (if we get promoted).

I was pleased to see players omitted from the squad yesterday. It's clear Enzo won't allow nonsense. However, I can't see them all being sold so I hope he is prepared to bring them back into the squad. And they have the right attitude to contribute.

It's the hope that kills you.

Thought they controlled the game very well and dealt with typical Warnock tactics better than I thought they would.

This type of game we’d have definitely lost last year.  Was good to see some of the players matching them for niggling fouls and getting in their faces.  We certainly didn’t look to be intimidated by them which has been a problem the last couple of years.

Plus, we knocked it around pretty well.  Quite often they came with the high press and we passed it round them really well.  A few times it broke down and against better teams we’d be punished, having said that, I expect us to continually improve and this become less of an issue.

Really well worked goal and it was great to see that as soon Mavididi got the ball, you could see his intention was to get a shot away.  I loved Barnes to bits but so many times we saw him in that situation come back and play it easy.  Mavididi seems to be a lot more direct which is great.

I think we’re about 3 players away from being pretty bloody good.

Certainly wasn’t as fluid as the previous games, but I think that’s because of the keeper as much as the Huddersfield press.

Really disappointed with Praet. Thought he was going to start to show more after his decent first game. Instead, he was pretty absent both against Huddersfield and in the cup game.
Faes and Vestegaard getting better with more game time under their belts.

Our team is premier league standard tbh.

We are in this league due to mismanagement by the board, and Rodgers.

And the players!

We are not currently Premier League standard.

Don’t have the same confidence as others that we will be ready personnel wise come 30th August.

Enzo with his second comment pissed off about it. He’s gonna have to work some coaching magic

Top spending team in the league and a squad full of internationals.

Winks and Coady both PL quality players brought in, Doyle one of the best young players in the league.

Only agruement he can is it lack balance.

Enjoyed yesterday but some of our fans are the pits.

The loud booing of the players taking a knee, what is that all about. Whether you agree with the sentiment or not (why wouldn't you?) What sort of message does that send to our players.

Couple of bloke's behind me shouting calling our players f***ing pri*ks for minutes after kick off for doing it.

5 lads in front of me coked up acting absolute w*****s. Thankfully the Police talk a few of them away.

I thought the boo was for Huddersfield not taking the knee to be fair....

Excellent day out, and some quality performances although vestigaard looking like a walking hand grenade that could go off anytime.

Also funny seeing that gobby clown get flattened then I assume get nicked on the walk back. Trains were shocking and genuinely felt sorry for any public that had to share that journey back. Some people really need to get some class.

Think Choudary also deserves a mention at the end when he made a few players come over to the away end and show their appreciation

This is the content we want to see - any footage? :shakey_still:

Might have been from some although I doubt it. The people I was near were purely neanderthal racists.

Seemed OK around me.

Unfortunately I think it a reflection of society.

I seem to remember Maresca saying when he first arrived that it would take time to get the team playing the way he wanted them to, but in the mean time he wanted to make sure they could 'find a way to win' games.

Seems to me like that's what's happening at the minute - it's clear that we're lacking personnel, and the players aren't fully fluent with the new system yet, but we're still managing to grind out wins. That's the important thing. Really believe things will click before long and we won't look back.

I don’t think we have much of a squad depth. We didn’t put certain players on the bench today cos they will hopefully be sold etc.

As a result we had two keepers on the bench

Depth is still there regardless if the manager chooses to put them on the bench. Ultimately, if they can’t be moved on then they are part of the squad until January.

Enzo is just sending a clear message to both the player and the players agency, smething we’ve lacked on before. He’s simply pushing them to make a move, but like I say if they don’t move he’s not just gonna put them with the kids as that’ll create a negative atmosphere, ask Brendan.

Half the country are unable to discern truth from fiction unfortunately. Fall for any old lie they read on the internet.

Two goalies on the bench: Perhaps Enzo it planning to try Ward as a number 8.

winds me up a bit, because don’t you get a bonus for making the bench. Ward really shouldn’t be getting any more cash 😂
