It was a strange decision and a clear error, but he is not prone to them so a moment of madness to forget and move on. He does well enough as cover for Mads to deserve a shot at making the Number 1 spot his own

Agreed. I just worry that a portion of our fans base will now be on his back every week, waiting for a mistake due to the fact they have decided he isn’t good enough as they loved Hermansen.

We need to support him.

Yes, Hermansen seemingly didn’t have a great day at the office either yesterday.

He was routed to his line for the two headers and beaten by a shot from the edge of the area to at was across him.

The West Ham fans aren’t exactly happy.

Need our no 1 to excel this season, was talking to a Stoke fan the other day and he said Begovic was done 2 years ago, moves like a 90 yr old in need of a hip replacement.

Strange decision to come out and he should've abandoned it because it was obvious he was getting nowhere near.

However 9 times out of 10 you get away with it from that angle.

Did well enough after.

Rushing out that far was ridiculous he was never getting there. Still rate him highly though as a shot stopper - these things happen and it was a brilliant finish from the Preston player

He went a bit Danny Ward yesterday.

No idea what he was thinking for the first Preston goal. He was in no man’s land.

Then the 2nd one, he’s basically given him 90% of the goal to aim at and gone all starfish.

A very bad day at the office.

Calamity for the first, but you can't seriously be calling him out for their second goal.

The ball makes its way to the centre of the goal. Any striker missing from there needs relegating to the under 21s. It's reasonable for Jakub to expect one of Jannick or Hamza to deal with that situation and either stop the ball getting through or making Osmajic work harder for the chance.

If anyone should be called out it's Hamza. He has Osmajic in his field of view all the way through that move yet casually jogs back failing to cover. Bear in mind Hamza was fresh as a daisy, there's no reason he shouldn't be sprinting back to provide cover.

Truly awful defending on so many levels.

He’s going to make mistakes. They all do. Mads made some calamities in the Enzo seasons with some short passes. Striker took it well.

Jakub is still learning on the job. Let’s not get on his back for this as he’s always put a shift in.

If that’s his only **** up of the season we won’t remember come May. Back the lad, he’s got credit in the bank based on previous performances.

rather spend our time holding the ‘senior’ players to account that seem to be happy to turn up, take a wage and show zero ****s.

You can excuse mistakes from young lads trying to prove a point, so it's too early to be getting on his back just yet.

I'd take over enthusiasm over not being arsed at all, like so many of our other players.

Awful mistake in isolation, but overall think he played alright yesterday. I think he came out because he lacks confidence in his defence to deal with that ball in behind, over Thomas and Vestergaard. Neither have the pace to get back for it, so he's instinctively gone out to try and nip the problem in the bud, but made a mistake in doing so.

We can't be playing Vestergaard and Thomas next to each other. It's such a significant vulnerability and Jakub is going to keep coming under pressure as a result.

Absolutely. Yes, it was a mistake, but he's physically trying to do something to help the team. More than can be said for a lot of the players right now.

One mistake, one wrong decision won't alter the fact that it was Thomas that left him exposed.

As it's already been written he's learning his trade and in my book he still has credit in the bank for now.

I think you’re being kind. It was just a complete brain fart. Whether the LCB/LB has pace or not there’s no need for a goalkeeper to ever come rushing out of his box when the ball is that close to the touchline.

Caught in no mans' land for the first, left way too exposed by awful defending for the second.

It happens. He will save us way more points than he will cost us. The team performance as a whole was poor so no need to single him out. Draw a line under it and move on.

Ok, but what does a Stoke fan know about him? He hasn't played for them for 10 years.

How can we keep saying that we need to play our youth products and we also need to bin them at the 1st mistake?

If we play the youth we will get mistakes. If we sell the youth and buy mercenaries we will have less mistakes, but no soul left in the club. Choose.

Oh I am being kind, and agree it was a brain fart. But I think the reason he felt compelled to do that was because of a lack of trust in the LCB/LB.
