Could be a season changing moment that. Lifted the stadium.

If did went in we know what would have happened.

Was it the peno save when he quickly sent the ball upfield to Mavididi who actually nearly scored!

Isn't it amazing what we can do when we be proactive...

I felt sorry for Bristol cause we normally hold on to the ball til the opposition are all safely back in position .....

At the beginning of the season, aside from the odd brain fart, he looked excellent and largely kept us in games with some big saves, then just at the time he got injured and a new GK coach came in and it coincided with a massive drop off in form and confidence from Jakub, not helped by a very leaky defence.

I would also point out this is another relative young and inexperienced player who has come through the academy and thrust into the starting XI at a time when the club is on its arse, morale and standards are on the floor and a number of players have checked out, all in all a pretty toxic and challenging environment.

Last night will have done his confidence the world of good, he is a very very good goalkeeper, who is struggling like so many at the club at the moment. He is another if we persevere with and then clear out the deadwood in the summer, will come back to his best.

I don’t actually think he’s as poor as he’s shown at all - there’s a good goalkeeper in there. But I think it’s all got on top of him and he’s been absolutely shit scared of disappointing us all with another mistake,  he’s like a cat on a hot tin roof. That clean sheet and penalty save will do him the world of good.

By the way, imagine the pelters Stolarcryk would have got if he’d conceded that goal Fatawu scored last night.

Just goes to show all keepers will have those moments. It’d be good if we can get behind him now he is back in the side and showing some more confidence.

I do think he’s decent but I just worry a bit on his decision making at times.

Could be a season defining save though that. If we do stay up, I’ll look back to that moment.

He’s playing with broken fingers in his left hand -Fact

Is this true? Noticed some heavy strapping on one hand when he took gloves off

I used to rate him but he seems to have just got worse and worse this season.

He is awful from set plays. Just let's the ball come into his six yard box and hopes for the best. I'm pretty sure he didn't do this last season when he got game time.

There was also a situation where any goalkeeper should be able to catch it yesterday and he punches it, putting us more under pressure.

Great penalty save and good game yesterday overall though.

Nobody will ever convince me this bloke is any good.

One of the reasons we got relegated is for persisting with Ward a reason this season is for persisting with this idiot.

We've had 1 good keeper in 2 decades. And he was signed by the manager who was allowed to buy whoever he wanted at the time.

What the hell does that say about the scouting and recruitment at this club?

JS is wank. Weak, clumsy, and regressing as a player (also indicative of player progression at lcfc).

Couldn’t agree more, yet another amazing decision from club

Bit harsh. We kept Danny Ward as the priority!!!! God we're good

Do we have an actual GK coach for the first team yet or is Glyn Thompson still filling in? Trusting Begovic to help out just because he's got his UEFA B licence hasn't gone to plan either

It's no coincidence that Jakub has regressed since Michele De Bernardin left along with Maresca

Inspires zero confidence in an already shaky back four. Awful decision making and no command of the area or six yard box whatsoever. How did he make it as a pro?

Never replaced Enzo’s fitness coach either

Disgraceful performance.

Between him and Nelson, genuinely believe they’d struggle to score 1/20 on player ratings.

Caught in no mans land for the first, has to be screaming for the second - there are zero players near Nelson.

The third, he isn’t blocked but acts as if he hasn’t got clear sight of the ball.

Honking!!

Such a weak keeper

Cannot command his box at all and I don’t think I have ever seen him being vocal shouting at his defenders when to leave it, clear it, what to do etc. and that is why usually there seems to be some confusion between him and the defenders and we so often have those moments where neither him or the defenders claim the ball and we sh!t ourselves

He plays with a youth team mentality! You simply can’t as a keeper. That’s your box, your defense…. You simply have to control it. Nobody has a better view of it than the keeper
