Given Union FS are mentioned as an attendee of that meeting with the club, we'd like to make clear we were - and remain - hugely opposed to mandatory digital tickets.

90% of season ticket holders decided to keep a card and we felt there was no way the mandate for mandatory introduction was strong enough. We also feel it's wrong for members not to be afforded the ability to choose in the same way STHs are.

Our position remains that the only way forward is for fans to be given a choice and that's what we'll keep fighting for.

Would it be difficult to issue cards to members that are similar to season tickets, but match entry gets loaded onto it as and when it’s paid for? So swipe a membership card on the turnstiles the same way a ST card would. Eliminating paper waste, but letting people not rely on their phones.

Members get sent a card anyway, but it’s only useful when buying stuff at the fan store.

The only reason the club want to try to enforce these digital tickets is to benefit themselves further by having the power back in their hands to resell tickets, instead of the average fan just passing it over to their mate when there on holiday for a tenner or something.

They have not printed or distributed new cards for this season for example so the “cost”

of new cards argument doesn’t apply we can use the same card in theory for a number of years.

Continue to let people have a choice it’s that simple.

My daughter got a card this year, not sure where you got the info about not printing new ones from but it's wrong.

You literally just take a screen shot if you want to 'pass it on to your mate for a tenner'... they've hardly created a security force field around the ticket lol *

*Caveat... first time i've had one last weekend but it looked very similar to a one I got for a Sheff Utd fan friend of mine to go to the Forest game on Friday and I just sent him a screenshot of that, so I assume it's the same.*

**Got it for him through someone else.. don't worry I don't handle Forest tickets regularly lol

There are certain apps which prevent screenshot. Probably won't be long before the club find a way to implement this.

Is that figure actually correct? Nearly 21,000 fans still have their season ticket card?

I imagine some fans possibly did get new ones for whatever reason but I was told to use my current one and if I lost it I’d be charged £10 for a replacement 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice little work around I agree, the point still remains though the thought process is to still have control

What are ‘OF Tickets’ / what does ‘OF’ stand for?  Haven’t heard that term before.

Club said that in a meeting yeah.

Surely they mean 90% chose to keep a physical card from last season. Not 90% of all STH.

I don’t think we have this seasons numbers as Going by the article posted in the first post the meeting was in September 2022 and a question was asked at the AGM in February 2023
