Good result…

But, there were some concerns with the second half.

There is a running theme throughout the games that there is a period in the second half when we completely lose control of the game, if it wasn’t for the lack of quality in this league, we would be buried in a few of the games.

It’s impressive that we are grinding out the results, but, have we really been tested?

The acid test will be a Norwich or a West Brom, because I’m not totally convinced we are really ready to take these teams on.

Hate to be pessimistic, but I’m just think we’re on the verge of an absolute spanking….

Not impressed with Mavididi today, thought he looked completely ineffective and really lacks composure and quality in the final third.

New manager at the helm and complete different tactics and personnel, everyone is learning on the job.

This time next week all our incomings and outgoings will have been completed and the manager and the squad will know who and what we have and we'll be more settled.

Brilliant start to win our first four league games after we've been drawing them all late on but popped up with 73rd, 84th, 87th and 92nd minute winners which shows some resolve and the ability to keep going and eventually break teams down. In theory we should only be getting better the more familiar we get with the players, manager and system.

Played well in patches, again. Played poorly in others. Some passing was crisper and worked. Some didn’t. Defending was mainly ok with a couple of wobbly moments. Final 3rd, attacking and creating chances was not fluent. Lack of creativity.  It will catch up to us.

Still, 3pts, mustn’t grumble.

Strange wasn’t he the one asserting all through the game pressure,by having most of the shots.. maybe I miscounted..

Also, does Vestergaard play in concrete boots? Because I don't think I've seen him jump once

To be fair, he's 6' 6" and plays like he's 5' 10".

Leicester win & Brendan getting absolute pelters on Twitter from Celtic fans. Happy Bank Holiday everyone

I half follow St Johnstone due to a friend being a fan. Even your comment didn't convince me they somehow didn’t get thrashed today until I checked Flashscore lol

Can we ask anymore , we keep winning although not always pretty.
the amount of players possibly leaving or not it’s amazing our manager has got the right results.

Still ball watched a floating ball for their goal, no peddling back or jumping, he needs to do much better for what was an average ball in to the box

He was never going to get to that - if i remember right, even their striker (who Vestergaard was marking) didn't consider it reachable.  That was doyle's responsibility all day long and he doesn't keep with the goalscorer.

Football is very,very simple..

you put it (the ball) in that netty thing ( fisherman’s friend)

More times than those naughty, naughty boys put it ( the ball) in our netty thing.

And tonight all Leicester fans can enjoy Rovrum grub & beer…

and sing football shanties over our young winger McAteer…

simples..:scarf:

Ruined it with that stupid meerkat word at the end 😂

Yes, I saw those, where the ball was at his head height anyway. When the crosses come in above his head height though there's never an attempt to play it, like that's ultimately the cause of the goal today, decent cross in but Vestergaard doesn't even attempt to deal with it

No it wasn't. The ball was over both his head and the guy he was marking, they both left it.  The other striker attacks the ball and doyle fails to, that's why they scored.

I'd sell Kelechi on that performance alone, absolute dogshit. KDH and Winks brilliant second half.

Be very careful highlighting this..

Not that far over his head that he couldn't have dealt with it if he'd actually jumped for it, and we're back at my original statement

To me KDH and Ndidi were underwhelming for a good part of the match - which was a big reason why Rotherham was still in it. Casadei coming on had a big impact. I think we'll get more out of the strikers once he's starting. I'm good with selling Wilf if they can get a reasonable offer. Need one more body there though if Praet is in fact moving.

Gotten away with it a bit, still not sure what was wrong with their disallowed goal, but 9 points gained in the final 20 minutes of games already this season, our superior fitness should see us comfortable in this division even before we get up to speed.

Big week now to get the squad Maresca wants, get working Rudders

Hugill was offside

Very much work in progress but you can see encouraging signs of our identity developing further with every game. Dropping KDH for Casedei gives us a lot of height & might be rewarding for set plays.

A strong start was essential and we have managed it. Still plenty to work on and hopefully everything will have settled down by the end of the week.

Very pleased for McAteer, should do his confidence a world of good.

Simply not true.  Watch the replay - it must be at least 3 feet above his head, neither him nor the guy he was marking have a chance and let it fly over their heads.
