The problem is that as of now, it's working. They've even had the best chance!

It was always going to take time, but after a good start, we look a bit clueless.

I doubt he will do it, but I would be tempted to sacrifice one of the back 3 to add another forward or midfielder. Southampton invert both fullbacks for this reason. At the moment we are making chances through the diagonal switch to our wingers. To be fair, Mavididi has been one of our better players this half. But if all we are doing is hoping he or Fatawu do something special, we might not break them down.

I did say that if ever there was going to be a 0-0, this was the game for it.

I'd much rather see us take risks. We have far more quality than PNE and if we take risks to open up the game a bit more, we may well give them opportunities, but atleast it allows the spaces to open up for us to hit them on the break. This cannot work continuing how we are. PNE won't get tired at this tempo. We've given them a free 45 mins here. If we are planning to make the ball work for us, and tire out PNE through passing it around them, we are failing miserably in that respect.

Iwan’s got it right just now on Foxes Player.

What we are seeing is what we’ve seen from City in most games this season.

This is how we play. Grind sides down who sit back and limit space.

It’s of zero surprise

Wonder if Preston will get tired working so hard in defence.

I think that is what Enzo is banking on.

Must be more tiring out of possession.

Why are people bedwetting all over this thread. Trust the system. If you changed everything everything someone came to the KP and parked the bus then we wouldn't have a system!

People claiming Emzos system doesn't work really need to learn to breath.

It’s traditional to act like the world is ending during a match thread where we aren’t winning 4-0 by half time!

By the sounds of it, it wasn't a bad thing I missed this one!

It’s an interesting tustle between two clear approaches to the game. It’s not as bollocks as some would have you believe. Its a chess match.

Think we need to rotate where we have overloads, right side, left side, then centre and back again, as they are allowed to be too static in their defending and our Mavididi, back to KDH, to Wilf, repeat, is not asking many questions

I think this is our only real option since we don't have anyone to cross it into. I think the only way we open them up is to move the ball across the pitch faster and overload them, we are giving them too much time to organise themselves.

It'll finish 4-0 😉

I can almost guarantee the words “make it difficult for them” were used in their team talk. That’s exactly what they’re doing, and fair play to them, you work with the hand you’re dealt. They are doing what they’ve been told to do really well. Quality more often than not prevails. We’re a better side than these but they’re doing a professional job, no qualms from me.

As you had said, this game is more for Nacho instead of Vardy.

Or perhaps we can be more brave and throw in Nacho and leave Vardy on. For me I would take off Ndidi instead of a defender. Nacho can play the role Ndidi is playing much better and he can link up better with one twos with Vardy or the wide men. We are too predictably slow at the moment with going wide. We need to do it through the middle too and Nacho is our guy.

If we are to take off a defender though, I would take Justin off and move Ricardo down a bit. Justin has made a few mistakes so far and he is the most vulnerable.

Btw, I assume we’ve discussed why wilf and kdh have swapped sides of the pitch this evening

Interesting. Hadn't noticed that. Any ideas?
