As far as I can tell, M1 J22 to J21 also closed overnight with traffic diverted on to local roads, and there's lane closures when joining at J21. It's going to be very difficult to go south from Leicester tonight (again).

I hoped you were joking but I've found the same info.

Surely you'd hope the council, the club and the police would think this one through a bit better?

You’re hoping makes me think sometimes what the Fuch they are doing on the roads all the traffic cones and no work going on, maybe they’ve just run out of cone storage so they just put them on the roads to pi55 off drivers !!

I remember that trip sadly well. Had my wrists in plaster. Teenagers at the back throwing shit around. Disaster day which involved arguing with punters on Brauny gate for a taxi

Were you on our coach that rang up that plumber's number on the side of his van on the motorway? 😂

So tonight instead of leaving on 85 mins it's going to be on 45.

So you're littering this thread with that opinion as well now?

It's almost as like people can leave whenever they want in a free Country.

Storm Bert has arrived as forecast...

I preferred the old "Two Ronnies" weather forecast. "It will be dry in Rye, it will be choking 'em in Wokingham, but those of you who live in Lissingdown had best take an umbrella....as there might be a spot of drizzle".
