Leeds were no better than Sunderland. We know that games against fit and fast opposition who are going to press man for man will be difficult.

There's a reason we're eleven points above them and smashing the league, there's a reason Pep wins titles wherever he goes and Klopp wins maybe one every five, six, seven attempts. 

 

Their way of playing is great for one off games against teams like us. Our way of playing is great for basically the entire rest of the season.

We honestly weren’t that far off physically. Leeds just nailed us tactically, no need to panic. We have Alves, Ndidi, Yunus to come back who will all be like new signings.

Yep. They're the best team we'll play all season, we were without N'didi and didn't really turn up. And yet we still could've quite easily got something from the game on another day. 

 

Our start means we can afford the odd loss. 

 

We're still far too good for the vast majority of teams that we'll play.

The main downside to this result is Enzo will not change the system. Even if we played Leeds next week, other than a couple of changes to players, we would still play exactly the same system.

Yep.

Worse thing is losing to them knobs.

BUT nothing wrong in abit of a reality check and stop us thinking we are going to be champions by Feb.

I don't understand the issue. The system works. IMO we play Leeds in a best of 3 and we win one 1-0 and the other is a draw. Leeds contained us really well but we still created chances, just not enough, but we weren't on the receiving end of a battering. We also have options in Akgun, Mcateer Doyle, and Ndidi which either weren't available yesterday or weren't fully fit, and Fatawu is only going to get better. There was nothing about yesterday that screams to me we need to rip up the system.

 

Our team lacks  playmaker quality in midfield, and we should definitely be thinking about this in the Jan window.  I don't think Casadei is going to be the long term solution, so we might need to be thinking about a longer term replacement bearing in mind Ndidi will be off end of the season.

 

Being punchy, i think this side goes to Leeds away and beats them as they are now. Fine margins etc.

Agree with most that there is no need for panic and criticism of the team is ridiculous at this point. However I think it does suggest that just because we have been winning lots of Championship matches it doesn’t mean we currently have a squad capable of competing in the Premier League. At this stage we only need a squad good enough to get out of the division.
