This team would beat Pearson's team in a title race.

The people saying this team would beat that team, the game has moved on, Fatawu vs Konchesky, etc. These people are a bit short sighted imo. Look at our games against Sunderland and Leeds.

We're there to be got at by exactly the sort of team we were under Pearson. In the rock, paper, scissors game of football I think the Pearson side is well placed to press and smash this one on the counter.

But this one is miles clear of Leeds because we're good against everyone else.

Yes exactly over the course of a season I think the current team wins in a one off head to head not so sure

Pretty much the same squad that was 2nd after 30 games in 12/13 then won 1 in 13 and scrap into the PO?

The making of the squad was painful failure and the addition of a few wise heads.

Sometimes you have to get burnt to find that real grit and desire

Half of this squad, if not more got very much burnt last season.

Pearson’s side wins at a canter. It had great balance, it was settled, had forged partnerships all over the pitch, plenty of leaders, strength, determination. Quick players that were direct and well disciplined. I’m not saying the current side doesn’t have some of these, but Pearsons side is far superior.

Except when it came to actual results.

Trouble is, they didn’t actually win as much.

How’s you work that one out? The 2013/14 side won 31 games and beat 100 points. This side is currently on 25 wins….

Maybe when all is said and done, they will win more than 6 more games this season in which case your statement will then be true. But they may also not reach that. All we know for sure at the moment is they have lost more games than Pearson’s side did all season with just under a quarter of the season to go!

But they had 102 points the way we are going that target might be hard to beat

Technical ability we’d be streets ahead. However we  would likely be mauled off the park .

It was always interesting to me, if slightly infuriating at times, that Pearson valued work ethic and character over technical ability. A struggling Vardy being picked over Beckford being a prime example. Ultimately he was proved right with that squad and what they went on to do. It had everything that in terms of personality that Soumare looks like he’ll never have.

No players in our championship side have ever been world class. Stop it 😂

we're saying 15 months later these players were world class then; none of this current bunch of players will be world class in 15 months time

none of them will be nominated for the balon d'or ever (fairly confident in this)

None of Pearson side was. None of the PL winning team were. None. None of our current team going to be.

Yes.
