With Sensi deal not going through, Censei going back to Chelsea and Ndidi injured, it pains me to say it, but we need him to stay.

He is still a competent player at this level and even capable of an assist or goal. It is mostly his injury record that has been a running joke for us. Gotta hold onto him

Unfortunately, players have to have been a free agent before the transfer window closing. So they had to have been released by COP 1st February 2024. Yes, I am very boring at parties.

We have lost Casadei. 

 

That leaves us with KDH, McAteer, Ndidi, Akgun, and Praet for two positions. Ndidi is out for another 4-6 weeks .

 

So we are down to 4 to cover 2 positions. McAteer is also back up for the wing, and Akgun isn't the best for keeping fit.

He won't get better wages than he's currently getting here, even with a 40% pay cut from what he was on in the Prem.

 

That said, you'd wait it out as him and his agent will pocket a bit more than they might if he was sold now.

Not sure how much it would impact finances BUT... might mean we can afford to play Yunus and activate his clause?

 

There's also every chance Trabz just want him to sell on for big profit in the summer, a lot of European clubs by OOC player in Jan and sell them on in the summer with the security of a contract.

In terms of weekly wage absolutely.

But those sign on fees when no transfer fee is involved can be sizeable and probably go a way to topping that gap up

1 appearance (came on as sub and played 18 mins) since World Cup qualifiers in September 2021 where he was largely on the bench. 

 

I think it's fair to say he 'was' a Belgium international.
