teblin Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 Surely this will only happen if wilf is closer to fitness than expected
MPH Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 a tough one with Dennis now… because we didn’t sign sensi… can we afford to lose him? Do we have enough cover without him? hopefully the answer is yes. 1

STUHILL Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 With Sensi deal not going through, Censei going back to Chelsea and Ndidi injured, it pains me to say it, but we need him to stay. He is still a competent player at this level and even capable of an assist or goal. It is mostly his injury record that has been a running joke for us. Gotta hold onto him 1

Can see it now Praet leaves, Sensi refuses to sign an extension with Inter and terminates his contract by mutual agreement saving them a few bob on his wages. Sensi immediately signs on a free for LCFC. Rudkin is given the freedom of the city and becomes an instant FT hero. 3

Unfortunately, players have to have been a free agent before the transfer window closing. So they had to have been released by COP 1st February 2024. Yes, I am very boring at parties. 1 4
TheGoldenGod Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 As much as many have us have called for him to leave, we didn't sign Sensi so absolutely have to keep him for depth now, that's the reality of going backwards in the window! 1
KFS Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 He’s so shit I genuinely would welcome this. Waste of a body in the squad. Give Rakhy a go over him 1 1
Tuna Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 I know we never do this but any decent free agents out there? We picked Wasyl up as a free mid season didn't we?
Tuna Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 Mind you, I reckon if we did this, Enzo would hit the roof.

Sensi trips over the media cables during the first pressi and out for rest of the season torn ACL
coolhandfox Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 It has to be a keep. We have lost Casadei. That leaves us with KDH, McAteer, Ndidi, Akgun, and Praet for two positions. Ndidi is out for another 4-6 weeks . So we are down to 4 to cover 2 positions. McAteer is also back up for the wing, and Akgun isn't the best for keeping fit.
UniFox21 Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 He won't leave. Few months and he'll have a big sign on bonus and better wages. 2

He won't get better wages than he's currently getting here, even with a 40% pay cut from what he was on in the Prem. That said, you'd wait it out as him and his agent will pocket a bit more than they might if he was sold now. 1

AjcW Posted 5 February 2024 Posted 5 February 2024 (edited) Not sure how much it would impact finances BUT... might mean we can afford to play Yunus and activate his clause? There's also every chance Trabz just want him to sell on for big profit in the summer, a lot of European clubs by OOC player in Jan and sell them on in the summer with the security of a contract. But those sign on fees when no transfer fee is involved can be sizeable and probably go a way to topping that gap up

I think it's fair to say he 'was' a Belgium international. 3
