Doyle did grand until his injury. He was flat against Brum but good against Swansea. Willing to be a bruiser too. He had Swansea's Ronald in his pocket or on his arse!

I like JJ but Doyle was brilliant before his injury if he can find that level again definitely deservs to play

Really interesting to see McAteer at CM. Think if he's to have a career at the club, it's as a utility midfielder and 8 could be his position.

 

Maybe a big middle finger to the board about midfield depth too?

McAteer clearly fits the profile that enzo wants in that position of someone mobile and 6ft plus to provide threat in the box. He's wanted it with Ndidi, Casadie and now Mcateer, which should give us the threat of someone at the far and near post when the wide mean put balls into the box. Makes a lot of sense. i see Yunus more as a KDH character who can track back but primarily is to run with the ball and get us going forward through the middle.

This is the position I think will suit McAteer better. Will need to retain the ball better than he's currently been doing but it's a different role and confident he can do.
