RIP Kevin Keegan.
Really wanted that Newcastle team to win the league when he was in charge.

I'll always remember this game from Keegan's spell in charge. Man Utd were pretty much unbeatable back them and Newcastle hammered them playing champagne football.

Yes. Thought we had a chance when Lenny got our equaliser but Keegan had other ideas. Saw him play against West Ham too when in London with my Hammers mate.

Obviously it was known he was ill but still tough to hear it.

I do wonder if his lack of public appearances has made him difficult to age, if that makes sense? Virtually all clips of him are from his playing and managing days where he was younger and still vibrant.

An iconic figure in the sport and even beyond.

Iconic.

Remember  at the time of him playing was well  before all the sports nutrition etc, what a physique  he had.

Theres an episode of Aif Weidershen  pet when Jimmy Nail picks up a newspaper in Germany where they are all working and proclaims he has to return to Newcastle at once...shows the paper and it states " Kevin Keefan to Newcastle United"😁

I still cant believe he'  passed away.

Yeah I know what you mean in that it's hard to imagine he was 75. I'm heading into my later forties now and everybody high profile that is dying is now somebody I remember from my teenage years, at which point KK was leading that fantastic Newcastle side. It's thoroughly depressing.

Oh no.

Remember  when he signed back for Toon as a player and they loved him.

Then went  back as a manager( I'm sure it was one of my first games at Filbo when they beat us and won promotion, there was a pitch invasion?).

We all remember  his " I'd love it " to Fergie.

Remember  when he stood outside st.james park talking to the fans, I think it was after he sold Cole?

Newcastle  was most peoples 2nd team in that era cos they just played all out attack.

Always seemed a genuine  proper bloke.

RIP KK, sad loss to football

Met him once, in the snooker room at the Turnberry Hotel, pre-Trump. He was playing on an adjacent table. Came across as a solid down to earth bloke.
A proud man who wore his heart on his sleeve and never afraid to front up.

Lindsey Graham. Bit of a pro-war hawk, but one of the few in the Republican Party who continued to support Ukraine and had Trumps ear.

Late to this but this man was one of the biggest scumbags and war criminals on earth and all I can say is good riddance. There are so many unbelievably evil things he advocated for that I hope hell exists.

Yes but what was actually funny about them? Oddie, Brooke-Taylor and Garden. I'm struggling to think of a trio less funny.

MIght have been funny at the time.

Cant exactly slate them as loads of so called "comedians" are just as crap nowadays.

I mean Rosie Jones is apparently a comedian...

Humour is subjective, so I can't tell you you're wrong. She's made a career in comedy so must have something some people like. What is it about her comedy you don't find funny?
