As a kid I loved Stanley Baxter’s Xmas specials. One of the funniest comedians around in the 70s.

Directed some great movies, including a couple of my all-time faves with 'This is Spinal Tap' and 'Stand by Me'.

Horrendous news. Apparently they were stabbed to death by a relative. 

 

Reiner is a huge, huge loss for cinema. This Is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A Few Good Men is an incredible legacy to leave behind - they all came out within an 8 year period too. Awful, awful news.
