Actually, I think you'll find that the reason he was banned was because he was writing the song while driving.

Is it just me or have more famous people/celebrities died in this year than in any other previously?

 

Regarding Chris Rea, I'll always remember him for this gem:

You couldn't escape this in 1986, then again in 1988. Played everywhere, everyday.

From what I remember, 2016 (or at least the end of) was pretty bad for celebrities passing as well.

The Wire seems to have lost more than it’s’fair’share of actors in recent years, with James Ransone’s death happening just two weeks ago.

Martin Chivers aged 80. For those that don't remember him was a powerful striker for Spurs. Also played for England. Spurs bought him from Southampton.
