Autographs are they hard to get?

Been looking into getting my champions shirt signed I want to get it framed for the mancave as would look class!

The club does not seem to do many signature days down the fanstore and when they do seems to be 3-4 players at a time..

what would be the best way to go about it? at the prices I'm seeing a few hundred online I would look at that as a last resort I rather make a day of it with my lad than pay that to be honest 

 

Whilst I'm asking does anyone have any momentous signed from over the years ? would love to see

They’re easy to get if you go pre game. Been a few times this season the players will happily stop for photos and autographs. But only Saturday 3pms as any other time they travel from Seagrave and get straight off the coach.

What sort of time do you have to turn up then? And do you hang around the car park?

When Of Fossils & Foxes came out, 1st edition, I bought a copy, took it to reception at Filbert Street & asked if the players could sign it for me.

A few days later, collected the book, the whole squad had signed the inside covers.

Cost - Nothing.

Can't see that scenario happening these days.

I've got the white one during CL season signed by Fuchs. That's about it though.

As others have said, you need to go to the stadium pre/post game and wait. Doesn’t really help you for this season though.

 

As far as collections, I’ve got a few shirts and my account on instagram is VintageLeicesterCity.

Not sure if its the same now, but they used to have to be at the ground four hours before kick off. 

Probably need to be at the ground around 10ish for a 3 kick off to try catch them.

 

I haven't tried for any since covid so this could of changed.

I tried to get Alan Ball to sign my players' autograph album outside the old Filbert Street  Player's entrance in April 1964. He had just scored twice for Blackpool in their 3-2 win over City. He refused and got straight on the team bus. Later that Summer we were on holiday in Torquay and, quite by chance, met his dad in a pub garden and started talking to him. He was very friendly so I told him about his son refusing to sign, whereupon he asked for our address and 2 weeks later a signed A4 size photo of Ball came in the post together with an apologetic message!

The players usually are all there and in by 1130. 
 

Last time I went (QPR Home) I got there at 10am, and every player walked down the line and had photos and autographs, bar 3/4 that get dropped directly at the player entrance. 
 

You can stand at the barriers in front of turnstiles 1-6/media entrance rather than the car park. 

 

Obviously you can wait post game too, but the crowds are a lot bigger and you may miss out, which is why I prefer going before. It’s a lot more relaxed.

Training grounds are generally on lockdown these days and players encouraged not to stop outside them

Was easy in the year's in the champs years ago....got the whole team of the Champ winners in 2014 and the underwhelming 2012/13 season(including Kane and Beckford........but lost that shirt!)

Why? Always see Man United/Chelsea players stopping for photos on social media

They just scribble these days. Don't know why they bother sometimes if it's such a chore.

Used to write to the club at the beginning of every season as a kid. They’d reply with a full headed sheet with the squad’s signatures.

Remember getting Matt Elliott and Heskey’s autographs in the old Fox Leisure shop when I was at Uni, circa 2000. I’m fairly tall but I just remember Elliott looking like a fvcking unit.

Hi all,

 

I have a match worn Albrighton shirt which I was desperate to get signed before I frame it. I live in Leeds so had to generally leg it after matches - I could usually wait around for about 40 mins after matches but I missed the players. Does anyone know how you get hold of an ex-player? I suspect I'd need to send him the shirt which I'd be happy to do. Maybe his management or something?

 

Any help would be much appreciated!
