They show up well (possibly as a 1st time manager in the Prem) on a points per game that pitches us out of the relegation zone on a level playing field and they'll pick up plenty of admirers. Just look at Enzo Played a decent championship season, gets the Chelsea job 1

LVFox Posted 29 May 2024 Posted 29 May 2024 I fancied Ruud last summer. He did a good job at PSV, plays attacking 4-3-3, could be that nice option that isn't too different to Enzo, but has more defensive tendencies whilst allowing players to take the handbrake off going forward. Far less controlled but still a possession based coach. 1

Obviously take this with a pinch of salt, but heard that the owner and prospective new manager met in London yesterday and has unofficially agreed to join. He was the club's first choice, but apparently he changed his mind after initially declining the opportunity a couple of weeks ago. JimJams Posted 29 May 2024 Posted 29 May 2024 Or the Arsenal lad. Or literally anyone with an ability to travel that we can't account for being elsewhere. 2

coolhandfox Posted 29 May 2024 Posted 29 May 2024 (edited) Not sure why people seem hyped about RVN. He managed to finish 2nd with PSV, they have occupied 1st or 2nd in the league in 8 of the last 10 seasons. He got knocked out in the CL Play-offs and EL play offs. He achieved about par as a manager of PSV. Edited 29 May 2024 by coolhandfox 1

For a brief second I thought you were describing the manager not the source and was about to jump off a bridge as we appoint Lenny. 5

As you say his season at PSV was about par for the course, did win a cup though too. 1
