Football Insider reporting that his release clause is only 2m and Leeds are keen to  have him as their manager

He's always linked with Leeds because of him time previously.

Marc Albrighton didn't give him a glowing review on Big Sams podcast the other week, didn't seem to think he'd be that great in the Prem...

I'd imagine some players don't have nice things to say about Pep...

He was a loanee and squad player, not sure his view is all that indicative

I love Albrighton but think he’s probably only keen on a certain “type” of manager

Theirs a reason the players don’t pick the managers

Albrighton not talking up a manager who is never going to come here...

Some people really are living in hope.  No chance Corberan comes here.  Cooper isn't getting sacked anytime soon.

Your first statement is almost certainly true - the Corberan ship has sailed. The second will depend on how we perform over the next 5-6 games. The best outcome for us that we start getting results soon under Cooper - because if we don't and the club is forced to make a change at the end of October, there really aren't many obvious options for us.

If come the end of October and Cooper is to go, who would you want as manager?

Iv’e no idea myself, just interested in what you’d like.

This thread is like following an ex girlfriend on Facebook...

I think you’re downplaying the creepiness, it’s social media stalking someone you’re infatuated with even though they’re in a relationship and you’re in a relationship.

Southampton are now apparently targeting Corberan to replace Martin when he inevitably gets sacked within the next few weeks...

Weird though. Martin (and Cooper here) have both got teams out of the Championship. Corberan hasn't. I'm not doubting he's a good manager but if we were to get Cooper then I'd rather not go down a division for a manger. I just wish we were more like Brighton (or even Southampton previously) that would look abroad instead of sticking to the UK.

Don't think that point about Corberan is particularly valid when what decided  whyall three of those managers are Premier League or Championship managers is effectively a 90 minute game.

Particularly given Cooper & Corberan played against each other in a playoff final with the latter heavily the underdog and getting a bad officiating call.

I take your point although, as I've said before, Huddersfield had no shots on target in a play off final.

He did do very well getting Huddersfield into the play offs but WBA were slightly inconsistent last season. Be interesting to see how they get on this season as they've started really well.

I would like to see how he gets on in the PL.

As someone has said hasn't this ship now sailed?

I was reading that he follows a lot of Bielsa methods which require a high level of fitness...  Isn't this going to be difficult to implement mid season?
