I’ve got a season ticket for Charlton Athletic this year (nepotism) and have loved visiting some of the old stadia that I missed from our own love affair in League One.

Looking good under Jones’ at the minute, think they’ll be back in the Champ in no time at all from what I’ve been seeing and hearing. Starting to give me shades of his time at Luton.

I missed this!

Be playing Shrewsbury next season then lol

I'm guessing closer to his home considering he managed Wycombe and QPR previously.

Seems more to do with the takeover being pulled, probably was promised the world and got nowt. Gills is an odd choice though they’re a bit of a basket case

My bet would be on Charlton winning the play offs. Jones did well building Luton up, Edwards finished it off. The competition for promotion in the Championship, League One and League Two is looking good this season.

100%. He laid the groundwork and created a culture at Luton, twice! In fact. Was at the play off final against Coventry in 2023 with family sat right behind the Luton dugout, and to say it was one of the best days of our lives is a big understatement, I still think about that day just as much as Leicester winning the league, maybe recency bias has a say in that, ha.

Dude is there a club you don't support?

Christ Wrexham will probably be overtaking us next season! In all seriousness though they will find it a lot tougher in the championship, possibly even go straight back down given the size of the cubs in the division . Still one hell of a ride though and must be great to have that thing called optimism!

L1 and L2 aren't very different in terms of quality, it's a massive jump to the Championship.

That’s why Ipswich did back to back promotions. It’s a poor league, while I doubt Wrexham would go up next season, there’s no reason why they couldn’t consolidate then give it a good go in the 2/3 years after.

Don't worry the wheels have fallen off.

Can Birmingham be promoted today if Wycombe lose and they win ?

Not officially.

If Birmingham win today they're 18 ahead of Wycombe. Wycombe have 6 games remaining. So it'll be midweek against Peterborough that they confirm it if they draw or win.

Another match where we were by far the better team, but didn't really offer enough going forward.

Colchester have the worst pitch in the league.

Walsall's reign on top has finally come to an end.

Does anyone want a top 3 finish ?

Just realised we're a two-point swing away from Stoke and Port Vale meeting each other in the league for the first time in 23 years. Could be a spicy one.

One of the best derbies as well. Probably gonna be mental if they meet because it's been so long.

So tight though, who knows what will happen in League Two's promotion race lol
