Also Skipp, whilst being a half decent player, was not what we needed.  A real head-scratcher that one.  We overspent and that money could have been better spent on our many more pressing weaknesses in other areas of the team.

I guess I can see the value of Skipp a bit more. He covers Winks and Ndidi even if he’s not an upgrade.

You’re right though that a creative midfielder is what we really needed and still do.

Well this got “24” likes

TBH most only went by the over whelmingly positive things, Fulham fans said about him. In reality he's turned out to be another Bertrand, collecting his pension for the next 3yrs. Totally useless.

Imagine he is on a decent wage as well if he turned down Fulhams contract for us.

We offered him a longer contract, because clearly Fulham werent stupid enough to offer a 32 year old a 3 year deal like the drips who run our club

Said similar about Ward a few seasons ago.

Accept the mistake. Pay up the contract in full. Wish the player well.

In every sense of the word, this lad is worse than useless

You're right - some players are just stinking the place out and are better off loaded than being allowed to linger.

Adds the square root of Fuch All so get rid

Brings absolutely nothing - It's difficult to see when, where and how he was ever a Premier League standard professional footballer

People might not like Ayew, but it is clear he is at least a footballer, unlike this bloke.

Wasn’t expecting much from him.

….yet I’ve still been surprised at how little he offers.

Literally doesn’t do anything well, it’s comical.

I've never seen a Premier League football nearly miss making contact with the ball so often.

If he doesn't have Parkinsons then his eyes must be fuched.

I said at the time he was a pointless signing and got slated for it because people said he "had Premier League experience".

He's one of the worse players I've ever seen and I knew he would be. ffs.

Somebody please do a compilation of all his miskicks since he signed. Appalling footballer.

That's one long reel

In the Lens game he went to hit the ball and fell over ........ I thought then they've sold us a pup (even though he was on a free of course)

Haha…I was literally thinking the same thing last night. I’ve not actually seen him play a composed pass yet…it’s staggering when he’s supposed to be a professional footballer

It's bizarre. He's so bad that you can't even imagine any club not releasing him as an academy player. So he must have been better in the past. But then 31 is too young to have gone completely shit.

Players like Reid and Ayew who've done a job for their previous club are always a risk regardless of supposed experience at the same level. Reason being is they're limited footballers who struggle to adapt to new surroundings. To an extent we've had such players that have gone elsewhere and been appalling.

It can even happen to players we regard as great servants and talented players. Take Albrighton for example who was extremely mediocre at West Brom a level down.

Signing both Reid and Ayew is just staggering and whilst it's still possibly unfair to write them off, it's not looming pleasant.

I don't think it's fair to label Ayew alongside Reid. Ayew has looked decent for me. He does a job. That job is never going to be fashionable, but there's no way he gives away the ball as much as the younger players against Forest if he's on. You could see even last night how he can cause defences problems.

Then there's Reid who has genuinely not even made a pass of note.
