Stay at the newer Adlers hotel in a Panoramic view suite

Stunning Mountain View’s, small enough city to wander all the different markets and doesn’t feel overly like it try’s to hard like many Euro cities at Crimbo

Cologne (Koln) is one of my all time fave cities.   I can imagine it being BEAUTIFUL over Christmas

I love Cologne and always wanted to go back, a lot of positive comments about their Christmas market so might have to give it a go this year.

Any big cities in Germany. Edinburgh is meant to be good as well

Edinburgh is good. Also loved the Christmas scene in York. Less of a traditional market, but Stonegate street is beautiful and has some great shops, including the only Käthe Wohlfahrt store in the UK.

Yes i bought a few decorations from there on my last trip. Been itching to go to the Munich market so i can go Rothenberg on a day trip and visit the shop there.

I second this. I loved Brugge. A great visit.

Ray: Bruges is a shithole.

Ken: Ray, we’ve only just got off the ****ing train. Could we reserve judgement on Bruges until we’ve seen the ****ing place?

Ray: I know it’s gonna be a shithole.

I had a lightning trip to Munich and Salzburg. Wonderful, and my delightful company was entranced.

Anyone planning those two cities, check out the Bayern travel ticket.

That's where texts and the written word fall down.

If the emphasis had been on EN-tranced the connotation would be completely different to "entranced" lol

I believe you might require the services of a Freudian therapist :)
