That team is going down. Any team starting Wout Faes will get relegated, guy is useless, got ripped apart in the championship, will be worse in the prem. 

 

No creativity and no striker. Look great!

Vestergaard got destroyed last year in the prem in a 2, OK it’s 12 mo the down the line after a good season, but I think he struggles massively in a 2.

Outside of the lack of new signings, I also think it's depressing that the lineup and tactics of the team feels like it's going backwards. We saw in last friendly that Kristiansen as an attacking left back didn't work, Ndidi next to Winks doesn't offer the same build up as with Ricardo and it means we don't use our wingers in quite the same way.

 

Here's a goal we scored against Bournemouth last season, as well as some of the rest of our play. For me this was the blueprint to work with, but we have seen nowhere near this level of fluency in preseason. It might only be preseason, but we saw moves like it this time last preseason, so it's a back step in terms of change of approach for me.

Was he moonlighting with another team then that I wasn't paying attention to? 

 

Strange way to make a decision about the players capabilities.

And the thing about that is that Vesty aside, that match was all squad players until the subs.  Bournemouths lineup was closer to their best 11 than ours was.

Vestergaard got sent to rot in the reserves in our relegation season.

Not sure it is miles off if you put in a striker and number 10 of sufficient quality.

That's honestly not a bad line-up all things considered, people make it out to be worse than it is.

 

We're a newly promoted club facing points deductions, that line-up could deffo be worse.

These line-up suggestions just look rank.

 

I've was previously thinking that there have been some over the top, borderline hysterical reactions and predictions over the state of the club and the upcoming season on here, but seeing it here in black and white - I'm joining in. Hmph.

I rate Vestergaard over Coady tbh. Faes is prem level when he wants to be, I'd take him over Okoli as well. 

It'll be Ward on the bench not Iversen, that much is clear.
