I heard from someone reliable that the players are being really vocal about the tactics and setup, well more the lack of both. Also they’re not happy with team selections specifically Ricardo being ostricised, it’s came to a head with Winks, Vardy and a few more asking for a meeting to discuss. Cooper basically said that I run the show and bombed winks out of the team, clearly didn’t have the balls to do it to Vardy as well.

That may be true, but that is not the issue.  The issue is that we camp in our own half, invite teams onto us and show no attacking threat or even counter-attacking threat.

Honestly, I have never known anyone play quite as timidly as Steve Cooper's Leicester City.

Genuinely, what's the difference between that and what we've done for much of our previous 6 PL campaigns?

If a better manager is available we make the change over the International break.

He’s just won his last game, no chance of that unfortunately.

Cooper out people.

If we win our next 5 games would you still want him out? lol

Very much depends whether he continues to think that being some sort of luck pervert is the way to stay up, or whether he uses the next fornight to get together an actual tactical plan and we start to put together performances worthy of picking up points.

If his survival strategy is sodomising himself with horseshoes while wanking over rabbits feet, still get him gone.

If that’s what it takes and he is willing to do it for the cause, give him a contract extension already!

There’s no if about it, there’s multiple.

Lets whack the list out again, in order.

ROGER SCHMIDT

KASPER KJULMAND

SERGIO CONCEICAO

NIKO KOVAC

DAVID MOYES

DIEGO MARTINEZ

Pretty sure Cooper said he allows the players to be vocal about tactics and such, I dunno but Winks hasn’t been great this season doesn’t work in the system Cooper wants to play anyway.

Ok, let me ask (I am not opposed to this) but what makes them better?

edit I was not trying to be a smart arse, just don`t know much (anything) about these managers that would suggest they are a good option

Well if it's true at least the players haven't downed tools,

They're showing fighting spirit and can only be playing for Vardy.

Hard to beat? We’ve conceded over 130 shots against us in 7 fixtures and have the highest xG against in the league.

Yes but we haven't conceded that many goals and have been competitive in every game. If you sit deep, naturally you'll have more shots against you which will rack up the xG.

We probably also have a weaker squad than the one we had last year, so we're gonna have to expect to be second best and ride our luck in most games.

Pleased for him that we got a win yesterday. He took a job nobody wanted, put together a decent team and in parts got us looking competitive. I can even forgive some team selection decisions.

What he absolutely must improve on is his in game management. It was clear to all that Bournemouth were pushing hard for an equaliser for all of the second half and he doesn’t react. I guess in part you have to trust the players you have out there, but surely there’s something he can do. And why not look for the second goal to give us a cushion. The approach has already cost us more points than it’s won us so please Steve, learn from it!!

In game management has been appalling. Even today the likes of Fatawu and Edouard were 15-20 minutes too late.

I don't know how you watched edouard and feel the problem was he didn't come on earlier! 😄

I really need to stay out of this thread and ones like it, because I start getting worked up and frustrated by every second post.

I don't understand how anyone can be content with our football and with Cooper currently, I'm never gonna bollock someone for disagreeing but I don't think I will be able to bridge any kind of understanding about it - it seems insane to me for anyone to think that Cooper is going to lead us anywhere other than downwards long-term based on his tenure so far other than relying on just hope.

He's been here for over 3 months now, in training every day, can anyone please tell me what he's done in those 3 months in terms of a tactical plan or trained passages of play on the field or where there's any examples of play that seems like there's been any training or planning put into it?

I'm desperate for signs of coaching. Signs that he has any bleeding clue what he's doing. Signs that he actually has some sort of plan, some form of competent game management, some form of tactical understanding. I'm genuinely not trying to be facetious, what is his actual plan for getting the ball in the opposition goal?

The problem with relying purely on the table and results is it takes me right back to Rodgers' 2nd last season where we came 8th. We were so clearly nosediving that season, but even though performances were getting worse and worse we were overperforming basically every statistical metric, and we all know what happened the next season where suddenly we weren't. It had been coming for ages.

I wish I had the same level of assuredness and confidence that other people seem to, but it's just incomprehensible to me, and will be until I see any evidence on the pitch that we actually look like a team that know what the everliving hell they're doing for a full game.

I dunno, I'm just rambling at this point. I bloody wish I could just enjoy the fact we won a game, but unfortunately it just feels like a temporary reprieve more than anything to me.

You've read this thread and you're response it's too positive.... hilarious!

Last week there were reports that the players were unhappy because Cooper’s management style was too open and collaborative, and that they missed Maresca’s more dictatorial style because they like to have clarity. Now we’re told that Cooper is in fact a dictator who won’t listen to players’ concerns at all. And all the while this is happening the players are showing genuine determination and fight on the pitch.

Wild times.
