This is modern football, modern elite sports and modern society.

- Hey ETH, you've done s*it this season but here you are, there's another contract for you and don't worry if you get sacked here's a new improved compensation.

Before anyone says it's a different thing, concept etc, yes I know that. But all these go and seek justice under the european employees rights court whenever they feel they had unfair treatment.

It's gonna be Southgate taking them over isn't it? If so could see them becoming a mid table side sooner rather than later.

Genuinely surprised Ten Hag didn't go in the summer, am I right in thinking that they gave him a new deal in the summer?

They did give him an extension which proves they have more money than sense.

Best part of £20m to pay him off and they can't even part ways with a cpl of mil a year for SAF - imagine barely having any success for the past decade considering the success of when he was at the helm.

Least they have the balls to sack him our board will wait till the damage is already done

I am not sure that is quite right as why the board at MUFC saw past his performances last season to warrant signing Zirkzee, Mazhouri and Ugarte for over £100m then fire him stinks of complete incompetence whereas we signed Ayew, BCDR, Edouard, Skipp all for a new gaffer ……oh hang on the similarities - we are also clueless tactically and stumbling into a relegation I guess which as you said we need to act as good managers are in the market but I think this week should do for SC as a defeat on Wednesday and Saturday which I think are inevitable will see him gone surely!!

It's written in the stars that Ten Hag will be a success at his next club just so the United pantomime can roll on.

If his stock has dropped far off for his tenure there (which I doubt) that he'd come here, I'd snap him up in a heartbeat.

can't see it, it'll be an Emery situation. head abroad for a top half Spanish club, then come back in 2/3 years to a Newcastle or Tottenham level club

Let's be honest he'll probably end up back in the Dutch League probably back at Ajax at some point.

Genuinely can see him going back to the Dutch League back at Ajax again. Unless someone like Sevilla comes in or a team from Italy.

Not a bad shout actually, wonder if a Saudi team is gonna try and tempt him over there and throw money at him.

He's probably a better manager than his tenure at Man United has shown but I really can't stand him - wouldn't want him here.

The lack of respect he showed Ronaldo was staggering.

It’s not Cooper’s fault, the players are rubbish and can’t do football.

They'll have still beaten us

Yeah, standard 2-0/3-1 defeat where we "play well but basic errors" rinse and repeat.

Hard to see anything different happening. We may be five points clear of the bottom three but I'm actually not convinced that any team has played as consistently poorly as we have this season, including Southampton. If it doesn't change, it will catch up with us, if it isn't already. Wolves will start picking up results when they play more teams in the bottom half and I think Palace will probably have enough. Everton could start on -50 points and still find a way out of it.

I used to hate when people just predicted that the three promoted sides would be relegated because I saw it as lazy, but now I can't blame anyone for it. It's really bad for the league if for two years running the three promoted sides go straight back down.

Nobody else is bad enough. There aren't three worse teams than us. One Wolves win and we'll be heavily odds on to drop again I think.

We're doing exactly what we did last time - getting results at just the worst time to keep a bad manager in post which in the long run will relegate us. Just obviously happening.
