It's strange the majority of media say Amorim to Man Utd is a done deal but reliable sources from Portugal say the exact opposite.

Fyi Amorim to West Ham was a done deal in the summer for English media and suddenly he said "I'm staying loyal to Sporting".

My prediction is that they will go through the season with RVN because their board can't risk appointing someone like Conceicao who will send packing within a week players like Rashford, Casemiro, Dalot etc.

RVN has a favourable set of games to get through if they do take their time hiring someone. Similar to what Solskjaer had, and then got the job full time.

Chelsea, Leicester, Ipswich and a couple of Europa League games for the whole of Nov.

Dalot has actually been one of their better players over the past 18 months - 2 years

Could also be a very nice audition for us. If I remember rightly he was rumoured to be on the list for us back in the summer.

Haha yep. Beat us twice then hire him lol

The nature of Amorim's press conference does make me think he's trying to get the job delayed until next season. His Sporting team have something to go out on.

Also him trying to mould his system with this Manchester United team needs a pre-season.

I'm not completely convinced by the "Wolves will be fine" narrative. They were pretty poor last season and looking at their squad I think they'll be in the conversation at least for most of the season.

Palace I look at the likes of Eze, Wharton, Mateta, and Guehi and think they've got a solid spine there that would walk into our side.

What a ringing endorsement of their squad building.

Agreed. Everyone said we would be fine as we finished 8th the season before.

Palace or Wolves can easily go down. Whether they do or not is another thing lol

Thing is Rodgers was a special kind of shit, im not sure other clubs will suffer such bollocks. Rodgers should have gone probably a year before at least. Id have sacked him after we bottled the Champions league, that was a sign of things to come and his inability to get a decent group of players out of a rut.

I think it's been masked a bit by the fixtures but it seems a big assumption to say that's the only issue. From the very same fixtures last season Burnley took 2 points (same as Wolves), Sheff Utd got 3, and Luton got 5.

I think Bielsa would have been an ideal candidate for Man Ure in the current situation, plays attacking football, always as a high standard set and would certainly lift and excite their fans. However he's got a job with Uruguay at the moment. Pity wouldn't mind him for Leicester, guarantee it would be fun no matter where he manages. Imagine the Manchester derby between Bielsa and Pep.

Bielsa's a bit of a fraud for me and he can't work with rubbish players. He conceded the most goals ever in a calendar month with Leeds. There was also years of "murderball" training that you couldn't implement overnight in the PL. We'd be on the end of some HUGE drubbings.

Bielsa to Man Utd and their 7-0 humiliation vs Liverpool will be doubled. 14-0.

The Leeds team he finished 9th with was, with one or two exceptions, pretty ****ing rubbish. Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas played every game and he got Patrick Bamford scoring as many goals as Son. As far as I can tell his success at Leeds was based largely on his ability to get a pretty average squad playing way above their ability.

the problem with bielsa is not that he can't work with rubbish players, he can, it's that his murderball tactics seem to have a very short shelf life at a club and needs a lot of conditioning, he's a pre season appointment

same sort of thing as enzo really, wouldn’t look good at a shitter team but with a top half squad they will do very well. But do man u genuinely have a top half squad right now?

Amorim is quality… really want him to do well but United to flop….

Ruud deserves to be a first team manager his record at PSV was really good, would like him to manage us, if he leaves Manchester United.

Really not all that sure about that.

Think you'll find PSV fans and players less complimentary.

Think he might be a bit of a weird dude in general.
