He's probably a better manager than his tenure at Man United has shown but I really can't stand him - wouldn't want him here.

The lack of respect he showed Ronaldo was staggering

You joking? It was insistence on keeping him in the starting 11 that turned them shit to start with.

Yeah I thought sacking Ronaldo off was one of the few good decisions he made during his tenure

Man Utd is a great job for someone, as although the expectations have not been removed, the reality of the what can be achieved in the job has certainly been eroded, allowing the incoming person to be a little less easily judged.

Now makes you wonder if Potter is now gonna want to try and sound out getting a job here, not saying that I want him but let's be honest the two jobs he wanted over us he's ended up getting neither.

He will take any premier league job now. Nailed on Southampton when Martin gets sacked.

Wouldn't surprise me, he wouldn't be my first choice but I'd definitely have him over Cooper.

Too much noise around this Amorim bloke for him to be a success. Out on his arse by this time next year, back to managing one of the Big Three in Portugal against Pasteis de Nata FC before you know it

Depends what their expectation league wise is now - after such a poor start top 6 must be the main target.

United since ferguson shows what a class act Ferguson was. He won league titles with Darren fletcher in the side!!!  That says a lot.

He was also the boss.....the real boss, no time for prima Donna's or player power.  His way or your out, regardless of reputation

Im sounding like a united and ferguson  fanboy here ......im really not but anyone who keeps young millionaire lads motivated and in check and gets their respect is rare these days.  What city wouldnt give for a young ferguson clone right now !

You only have to see how Portugal have deteriorated as Ronaldo has gotten older, less effective and more toxic to the team to see that it was a good choice.

Potter is not getting a top six club until he rebuilds his reputation at someone like us realistically, and it could take a couple of years.

Genuinely think they could have pushed on if they had never brought him in. He disrupted them when they’d finally got things back on track. A huge sliding doors moment as he caused issues for staff and players alike. ETH lost so much of the dressing room over ronaldo’s antics and it’s hard to get that respect back when one of the best, has been telling everyone how awful you are.

Couldn’t of happened to a nicer bunch

He's a few more rejections from becoming a modern era Curbishley

He's got longer than a 1 year contract

Fairly standard that sacking a manager is around a years salary rather than the remainder of their contract. Although there's unconfirmef reports to suggest we were liable for the full whack for Brendan and accounted for in the year the sacking occurred too.

As expected and as me and StanSP pointed out after the sack, Man Utd have 2 options. Amorim or Conceicao. As a rival (😜) I want Amorim because he won't be able to get rid of the trash easily. He'll end up being ETH 2.0.

Conceicao is a different beast though. He won't have any problem to end Rashford's, Casemiro's, Evans', Maguire's and Dalot's careers in a second. This guy is ruthless, it's like having Camorra on the sideline.
